|Great album! Morbid Angel at their most satanic which works for me, especially when the lyrics are so good. Special because this is MA's major lable debut and the didn't make any comprimises what so ever. Just a great death metal album.
|this album is a great and powerful one. the guitar is fast and the drums are meen, with that evil speedy sound that only death metal drummers can produce. pain divine...that must be an awesome song to hear live. so much crushing riffing. i have to say though, i didnt quite get david vincent trying to look like some satanic porn star in the video of god of emptiness, who the fuck wants to see hiss chest, does he think hes some kind of sex symbol? he needed to work on that bits of fat he had on him at least before flauting himself in that video. ahhh david....what a fag. i realize i bash dave alot. but the real power all comes from trey, the truly gifted member, and with him their, it out shines david vincents attemtps at ruining it by trying to be some kind of deathmetal cock rocker. cause thats what he is, him with his beautifully permed har and that fake blonde dyed look. he looks like a big girl. but to sum it up awesome album done only the way Morbid Angel(THe genius Trey) could write. blessed be Trey Azagthoth
|Another classic from the Floridian masters of extreme metal. Obviously this contains a whirlwind of devastating guitar riffs and solos, and some of the best drumming one could ever hope to find on a metal album.
Overall, a worthy follow up to the almighty "Blessed Are The Sick". It pales in comparison to its godly predecessor, but a solid enough album to stand on its own and still kick some ass. Check this shit out.
