Dissection, truly amazing black metal. They prove the genre is more than noisy guitars and nothing beyond monotanous blast beats. They also prove that their is more to black metal than screaming like a fag craving cock (cradle of filth) Excellent double bass drum and harmonious riffs and great song structure supports Dissections music. Not to mention evil, yet melodic acoustic guitars that will make you want to burn churches in total contetiveness. Stray true, and pick uop this album. Stay away from cradle of filth. Standout tracks are Nights Blood and Soulreaper.

This is truly one of the black metal masterpieces of all time. The above review said a lot. Perfect melodies, excellent drumming and rediculous leads. Stand out tracks for me are Where Dead Angels Lie and Thorns of Crimson Death. All I really need to say is this: you are not a black metal fan unless you have this album.

I love this album. It gives so much as an entirely abreviated work compared to The Somberlain, however it is able and powerful enough to maintain a somewhat more epic standpoint than their previous album, which currently serves as the pinnacle of thier career. Features the same timeless diversity which Dissection utilizes so well through their multi themed compositional structures. Years from now, this will still kick ass and continue to awe, a true masterpiece!

Killer CD; melodic blackened death metal done right, this disc goes straight for the throat. Excellent musicianship and a perfect sound production that is dirty and raw, yet clean and well mixed at the same time.
Dissection were masters of their craft and this classic album is a must-own for all black and death metal fans.
