starting back with members of the Automata in 2002 + matt rowe and devon, they were a 5 piece. Their music was just straight up brutal as fuck.
Live, they took the basic formula of unnited gutteral and went with it.
on their first demo, it was way more-chaotic with sampler-play and didn't capture the live experience.

fast forward a year and a line up change (scott, ex-automata was replaced by nick, ex letters from the dead on drums, the 2nd guitar player was lost to the voice, and joe on bass was replaced by the great adam spalding) and they are still together, doing shows, but their style has slightly changed.
more cow bell and vocals shifting towards pig destoryer or agoraphobic nosebleed in parts, but still encompassing the whole thing with brutal vocals and slams that get them on shows with deathgrind bands that most other bands would drool at the chance to play with.

disclaimer: I finally decided how I'm choosing the band for the daily appriciation... I wrote a randomly selecting thing and if the band that comes up deserves it, they get it. so selection = random+my beliefs.
bitch about your band(s) not being focused on and you go to the bottom of the pile. the new england scene is awesome and rich with bands that should be playing bigger shows. If your band deserves it, I will get to you too
