|
Scatter the Ashes, I'm not sure what they sound like but i think Bambino manages them, I hear they are decent. Who knows |
|
maybe he'll be there.
I know the syndicate's all there. |
|
blah im working both day 1 and two... today as soon as i can get out of work here (prob around 4) ill head over... at least now i know what time im working to. is it 10:40pm yet? :( |
|
damn it...
lynne, where can I park?
I don't want to park in the garage, cause I'll be out before it closes..
probably at 10:35-ish... so I don't want to pay for the garage and the streets won't be free. |
|
norma jean, gay.
go to ION down the st. |
|
if they are playing after 10:35, I will. |

he told me the other day he would be there. I kinda wish i was going
|

Rev, there is a hill above the Irish times, I don't think there are meters up there. Otherwise, just get a meter and feed it every so often. You'll only need to do it once or twice... |
|
Oh and who the hell is Last Of The Famous? Never heard of this band and they are headlining? |
|

featuring members of a bunch of other bands blah
|
|
oops sorry i disappeared for a bit... you only have to feed the meters until 6 on weekdays (free on the weekends) sooooooo what time are you goin? im probably just gonna park in a lot (depending on how much) cuz i wont be able to be worrying about feeding meters :( |
|
I'm going to get there right before 3pm.
I guess I'll try up on the hill or something.
ATTN BAD GUYS: leave my car alone. |
|
ya good luck with that hill.... dont leave shit out... your car will get broken into if you do. |
|
i think i should take you guys and pick you up... |
|
I should just ride my bike that I don't have there. |
|
as long as you don't have it...esp since there is another thread about picking locks! |
|
I guess I'll just park on the street.
I have like a billion quarters. |
|
Good I'll give you a dollar for some if I can't find any, haha... |
|
I did see you!
and now I'm at home.
working on the pictures as I type. |
|
lol i didnt see you heeeeeeeeeeelp i dont want to go back tommorrow :( |
|
I want to know why Andy from Every Time I Die was playing with Throwdown... |
|
OMG, i'm so glad i didn't go to this |
|
so I decided that with my review for bands that I wasn't into, I would write the reviews in haiku!
First Stage:
scatter the ashes:
basically sounding like QSA meets live. I wasn't very into the music, I was expecting something else, I guess.
lola ray:
emoish rock band
an asian for a singer
some girls yell
emanuel:
oh man, what the heck
my taste in music, broken
they weren't half bad
fear nuttin band:
the singer with the sox shirt on had a really good dance hall voice. it was rapping vocals over some stoner music. interesting, but I don't know..
dont look down:
tight sound, but poppy
I could not get into them
started off cool though
liars academy:
on no, I can't take
another band sounding like
that don't look down
hidden in plain view:
they sounded like brazil.
the early november:
another band sounding like brazil.. some good rocking out parts.
the hope conspiracy: looked like they were having an awesome time and it trasnlated to the audience too. this was the first of the bands were people dance for. they played a short set, but a bunch of sounds from their albums.
throwdown: they had one of the guitarist from everytime I die with them. I guess he filled in for them on ozzfest or something so he came with them. they covered roots, bloody roots by sepultura which was awesome.. and ended with forever.
norma jean: probably the best set of the mainstage. they played awesome and the sound was great (up to the last song). that one sounded all muddy, but it was still good. they had 2 "surprise" guest singers. one was the singer of fear before the march of flames who came out during Memphis and the other was aaron (human flight committe/splitkit). they climbed up on top of all the speakers.
catch 22:
six guys band
they played much ska music
people ska skanked.
last of the famous:
ok, this band's got members from like 30 different bands, give up the ghost, judge, and more. it was just poppy punk rock. I wasn't very into it. they played with not too many people there. one of their songs started with a heavy hardcore song, but then it just went right into the same stuff. |
|
Second Stage:
favorite atomic hero:
5 people were there
an mtv poppunk band
I left for downstairs
scurvy: where are all the kids? while the teeny bopper girls screamed for the boys on the mainstage, scurvy was playing on the second. I would have to say there were more people upstairs than down stairs. It was weird that people weren't dancing at first, but then after a few songs, the mass kids started to jump around. I was surprise no one moved during that first breakdown.
big collapse:
again, no one there
sounded like QSA
but it was early
it dies today: finally, people running wall to wall for the whole set. there were a couple fights, but nothing too big. they have a new CD on trustkill and played tracks from that. unfortunately, I don't know that CD at all so I didn't know them.
fear before the march of flames: I got to see these guys at hellfest, but the were so much better on this stage. the hellfest hot topic stage sucked. the singer climbed up the speakers and (in a sherwood from skinless way) climbed along the upper balcony. during their set they opened the way upstairs (no merch?)
evergreen terance: they were on tour with norma jean, fbtmof and some other bands, but weren't on the bill. I saw them outside so I figured they were playing and hey, they did. awesome set, awesome crowd response and they even covered a smashing pumpkins song.
bury your dead: they were shooting video of this set for some reason, but I was still able to get some shots. they definitly had the best crowd response out of the whole day on the second stage. personally, I consider them to be the headlining band since there wasn't much on the stage afterwards. they ad 5 minutes left in their set and they played 2 new songs, and old song and mosh and roll.
ps: no penis this time, I checked
river city rebels:
some fashion punk band
wow, they were wearing makeup
much too cool for school
(on a side note they are on of the only bands that in the passed I skipped out on to go get food while they played)
fu s:
middle finger punk
singer took apart drumset
not really my bag |
|
i would love to see it dies today, but only if they played their old stuff. their new stuff is dreadful |
|
Bahahaha:
|
|
you and ben stiller's little brother? |
|
you got pictures of the mayhem? |
|
Yeah, working on them... some of us go to bed when we get home from shows... |
|
well, if you didn't wear a bruins hoodie, sports jerzy and a full set of pads to each show, maybe you wouldn't be so tired. |
|
hahahahahaha
i just laughed out loud
heh
jay..car pool at what time tomorrow? |
|
that kids about to get hit in the nuts eh? |
|
Yes. My shitty delay on my shitty camera fucked everything up. |
|
what's in the last pic?
and did he obey the NO FIRE clause? |
|
He's spraying beer all over the crowd... and yes... no fire... |
