you're all dying to hear what i have to say, so here goes:
low turnout, still awsome.
the failsafe device: for a band that doesn't look like a grind band they kill. they definently made a fan out of me. total chaos, and sick break downs on top of it all. they should dump that cheesy clean intro deal. that and the guitarist that was next to the bass player needs to loosen up live. he looked like he wanted to scream and go nuts but he was afraid or something. it's grindcore guy, we all look stupid. just go with it.

the fail: keyboards are what sets this band apart, but unfortunately i hate keyboards. they were interesting, and not all together bad, but they didn't do much to impress me. the vocals are kind of half hearted, and the highlight of their set was definently the guitarist doing a handplant flip while playing....holy aids, amazing.

shallows and flats: to be honest i expected more from this band. they sounded really tight in the mp3 but tonight they just seemed really sloppy. the vocals are spectacular, and i know theres potential there. i'll give them another chance next time i see them, but tonight they really didn't sell me.

in dire need: duct tape pentegrams, and slam death breakdowns. they almost hit me with a guitar and the bass player scowled at me, wahhh, lambgoat here i come haha

umbrella: def 100x better than the last time i saw them. i am officially an umbrella fan. amazing. i've heard some criticism about lee's vocals, unfortunately the sound guy was fondling his mustache during their set instead of adjusting the mics so i didn't get to judge it too well. definently an awsome set though and lots of fun.

did everyone see my grandpa dancing, ruled.

the failsafe device: sorry, the pictures are shitty and all washed out... that'll teach me to buy a new external flash and never having used and external flash EVER or read the manual and just jump into a show. by the fail, I was getting the handle... I miss the 3-singer failsafe, but they are still good grind and the jazz parts still rock. that snap is so tight.

the fail: they were ok. I couldn't really hear the vocals. I was looking/playing with my new toy when I saw the guitarist go upside down so I missed that picture. Also, I could really hear or follow what the keyboardist was trying to do.

shallows and flats: not the best show of theirs showed wise, I think they've definitly played better. the new song (the first one they play) is really good, but it always sounds like tears of avarel to me. They are off on another tour... I noticed they left the plastic b-b guns behind.

in dire need: always brutal. they have a 3-song demo coming out soon too.

umbrella: man, they are sooo good. I'm so glad they are finally getting shows. Last show, I said I couldn't hear the lows. this show, I couldn't hear the highs. Arg, I'll never be happy.

On a side note, I love my new flash... it can focus easily in the dark. I'm going to have fun playing with that.

the Fail = sucked

In Dire Need= they seem to be getting worse. loose the 10 million breakdowns per song. Still love the vokills!

Umbrella= never seen them before, but hear thier mp3's. oddly enough, the singer looked just like i had pictured him! anyhow, some of thier stuff was pretty rad, all in all, I enjoyed the set.

Failsafe Device= thier bassplayer is named diarrhea dave... 'nuff said.

Shallows&flats= i dont care how many people disagree with me, they were they put on the best show. the sludge parts were brutalicious, and the vocals are sick... sick like the reverend last night... cough cough sneeze.
