Name someone that is somewhat famous or in the spotlight somehow (like dimebag) that if they died you would be all fucked up about.

I really didn't think that many people gave a shit about Dimebag, but I guess I was wrong. Just curious as to who else people here would be all butt-hurt about if they died.

For me it would have to be George Carlin. I grew up on his comedy and rhetoric. It instantly made sense to me and besides that I find him fucking hysterical. I love that man.

I think if Lemmy was to die it might suck, other then that I'd only care if it was someone I knew. I was bummed everytime a Ramone died.

it wasn't a sudden thing that people just now flip out about dime, pantera has been defunct for a while, a lot of people didn't like the new stuff, but still have respect for dime himself. just because he wasn't talked about nonstop on this board doesn't mean he didn't have some influence on a lot of people.

to understand part of the reason why dime's liked so much, watch pantera home video #3 'watch it go' and you'll see why...

yeah, most of the footage was shot by dime himself. he was a nice guy who liked to chronicle all the fun he had with his friends. it's hard not to like a nice guy who would do anything for his friends and fans and who lived for the moment. bottom line is he was a good guy who treated people right, not the jaded, asshole rockstar he easily could have become.
