toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Dec 13,2004 7:36pm
Fuck Satyricon. That fucking guy from Slipknot is playing drums for them like if there's not enough black metal drummer in Norway.

toggletoggle post by KeithMutiny  at Dec 13,2004 7:53pm
i was gonna, but i think im passin it up for the high on fire and conifer show

toggletoggle post by phobia  at Dec 13,2004 7:58pm
im definitely high-tailin' it to conifer. plus the living room is like a 10 minute walk from my house. the satyricon show, is not.

toggletoggle post by josiah_the_black  at Dec 13,2004 8:02pm
im goin, who fucking cares if corey is playing drums, the main problem was that frost had difficulty getting here from norway, they prob didnt wanna deal with anymore of that bullshit

as much as slipknot blows my nob, he is a talented drummer

toggletoggle post by carcinogenic_cookies at Dec 13,2004 8:56pm
I will be there and I better see some powder-based corpsepaint.

toggletoggle post by dan. at Dec 13,2004 8:57pm

I like their new stuff, but it isn't black metal hahaha.

If you like Mother North, you like that whole album.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 13,2004 10:51pm
And yes I'm going, and I've been trying to find a fucking setlist for a while.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Dec 14,2004 8:16am
not this time. the show has a horrible lineup. i don't want to pay just for satyricon. it sucks that such an important band is playing with such horrible bands.

toggletoggle post by carcinogenic_cookies at Dec 14,2004 8:30am
I don't mind 3 inches of blood. I want to see how the vocals sound live.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 14,2004 8:57am
ditto.
though I like 100 demons too. I forget what other band are playing.

toggletoggle post by malettey  at Dec 14,2004 9:42am

toggletoggle post by Josh_hates_you  at Dec 14,2004 9:47am

I'll be at satyricon

toggletoggle post by buttfuck at Dec 14,2004 12:49pm
fuck it satyricon's new direction musically isn't at all bad but Satyr needs to take his head out of his ass and quitthat fucking label with that guitarist from fuck system and not that joey jordinson is a bad drummer at all but he does not belong anywhere near Satyricon I mean couldn't he have gotten Hellhammer something and they need to change their lineup on this tour sure Infernal Majesty was good but they dropped and instead of putting I don't know Tsjuder or something on there they fucking add trauma concept what the hell i hope satyr relizes his mistakes

toggletoggle post by dan. at Dec 14,2004 1:07pm

No doubts.

toggletoggle post by Christraper at Dec 14,2004 1:16pm
I wasnt planning on going to Satyricon anyways but if its this saturday id rather go to the high on fire show. Im assuming we'll be practicing before hand so i might only make it for the party but maybe the guys are planning on going to Satyricon in which case ill be at the high on fire show earlier.

Here's the setlist:

Walk The Path Of Sorrow
Angstridden
Filthgrinder
Possessed
Forhekset
Prime Evil Renaissance
Repined Bastard Nation
Fuel For Hatred
Hvite Krists Dod
Raise The Dead (Bathory Cover)
Mother North

So, 1 off Dark Medieval Times, 1 off The Shadowthrone, 2 off Nemesis Divina, 2 off Rebel Extravaganza, 4 off Volcano, and 1 cover.

I gotta say I'm kind of disappointed that it's only 11 songs even though they're headlining.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 3:21pm
Actually, it would still be over an hour set based on the track-lengths, so it's not so bad.

toggletoggle post by JayTUS   at Dec 14,2004 3:53pm
I'll be there.

toggletoggle post by Christraper at Dec 14,2004 3:54pm
why couldnt they play that set list the last time they came around?

Cause they only had 25 minutes??

No clue about how many bands before Satyricon. At least 3.

Metalmatt, you forgot the almighty Sicks Deep

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Dec 14,2004 5:00pm
how long do you have till the doors close or do they?

toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Dec 14,2004 5:05pm
Really it's not worth going to this show. For these reasons:
*it's at the Palladium
*there's an awesome show in PVD (High On Fire/Conifer) at the Living Room (which might be a dump but still more friendly than the Living Room)
*it's expensive
*you're going to sit through 3 shitty bands to see 30 minutes of a shitty Satyricon that doesn't have remotely anything to do with their releases.
*the beer is super expensive
*you can't smoke inside but still can in RI
*everybody and their mothers will be in PVD

I say forget about Worcester.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:09pm
*I like the Palladium
*I don't care about High On Fire/Conifer
*It isn't really expensive, last time I checked it was 15 bucks
*I'm going to see 3 Inches Of Blood, then sit through 2 shitty bands, then see Satyricon perform stuff from every one of their albums for over an hour
*I hate the taste of beer and rarely drink it
*I don't smoke
*I don't care where everybody will be

To each his own Anne.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:11pm
And you can usually smoke in the Palladium even though they say you can't. As long as you aren't right in front of a bouncer, in which case they just tell you to go smoke in the bathroom.

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Dec 14,2004 5:12pm
well, thanks for the informative post but,
*i dont like conifer
*already have a ticket
*like satyricon regardless of what others think
*cant drink yet
*dont smoke
*i dont like conifer

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Dec 14,2004 5:13pm
wow retzam thats fucked up

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Dec 14,2004 5:13pm
i didnt even see your post!!!

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:14pm
HAHAHAHA

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Dec 14,2004 5:15pm
are you gonna get there early to try to get front?

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:16pm
Probably not, cause I will just be wandering all over the place for Sicks Deep and whatever the other bad band is.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:16pm
Meaning, I'll lose my spot before Satyricon, so I might as well not get there that early.

toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Dec 14,2004 5:17pm
One thing, I was so fucking psyched last time to see Satyricon and I was so fucking disapointed after I saw them that I haven't listen to Satyricon since then. That was really the worst live set I've seen in years, so I'll do anything to discourage people to go see that crap. I couldn't care less if there coming in PVD or not.

toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Dec 14,2004 5:19pm
But really, I couldn't care less what you guys are doing this Saturday. I'm just being the devil's advocate.

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Dec 14,2004 5:19pm
back to my first question how long do you have to get in, could you go in right before satyricon plays? or will there be no room

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:20pm
Anne, do you mean the set list was horrible or they played horrible? Or was the sound horrible? What was so bad?

toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Dec 14,2004 5:20pm
THere will be room, you just might have to push people around a tiny bit, I doubt this show will sell out, the line up is not strong enough. So don't worry.

toggletoggle post by My_Dying_Bride at Dec 14,2004 5:21pm
danka

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:22pm
If you want to go in right before Satyricon it shouldn't be a problem. You'll be able to work your way to the back of the floor, and then as soon as they start playing you can wedge your way through the crowd saying that you want to get in the pit, then cross the pit and try to wedge your way through a couple rows of people so people aren't slamming into you (unless you want to be in the pit).

toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Dec 14,2004 5:26pm
The set list wasn't that bad, I think I had very high expectations.
The problem is the band in itself is 3 people, doing keyboard, 2 guitars, bass, vocals, and drums. So to represent this live they had 6 people playing..and that was weird.
A chick playing keyboard who was more into brushing her hair than actually playing....
The sound, I'm never amazed at the Palladium unless the band have their own sound guy.
The crowd sucked with a bunch of Cradle Of Filth wanna be.
Really, I left to the bar at the middle of their set, considering how much I love Satyricon that's bad news.
YOu might be lucky though, who knows.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:31pm
My expectations were only high for the setlist, which is why I am kind of disappointed on reading this one they'll be playing on Saturday. I can understand your point with the members, right now there are only two members (one of which won't be there) and there will be 6 people on stage, so that does seem kind of silly. I agree about the Palladium's sound, but all in all I think it's a pretty great place, and it's awesome to have a venue that pretty much guarantees a Worcester date for almost every death/black that tours the US. I don't really mind about the crowd (for instance, I didn't really care about the rediculous amount of Slipknot shirts at the LOG/Bodom show). I see what you mean though Anne. I'm hoping I'm not that disappointed, I'm just looking to hear some Satyricon songs live I suppose.

toggletoggle post by retzam at Dec 14,2004 5:33pm
Wow, I omitted the words "metal band" when attempting to say "death/black metal band".

toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Dec 14,2004 6:27pm
I totally agree with the fact the Palladium is THE only place in the area we can see these tours, at least we can consider ourselves lucky there's a place.
