Abacus Recordings Unveils Operation and Roster With the genre cross-pollination in aggressive, underground music increasing, and experimentation the norm, Abacus Recordings (a partner with The Century Media Family) was born out of a desire to house some of the most-cutting edge bands under the current banner of hardcore while utilizing a street-level, scene-driven approach to its marketing. The labels current roster includes Haste, Radiation 4 and Narcissus. The desire to release the most diverse, original and vital hardcore acts is the passion of both Ray Harkins and Stacy Buchanan, the two people behind Abacus Recordings. Ray Harkins, vocalist for Taken, has been active in many facets of hardcore from booking shows and tours to working as the main buyer for Bionic Records, in addition to freelance writing. Stacy Buchanan has been a freelance writer for a variety of publications like Thrasher, Alternative Press, Transworld Stance, etc. and served duty aboard the Ozzfest for two years.

With youthful vigor, it's their combined goal to release the best music hardcore has to offer while preserving the integrity and sense of community that defines, and makes up this unique music scene. For more info check out http://www.abacusrecordings.com
