heres another welfare remedy: put a small ice cube beside the tooth in question. enough of those should subdue the pain.

Sounds like an abcess!! That shit sucks!! They cut it open to drain the puss, then stitch you up. Then they do a root canal, which is always a good time. Ask for percs, vicodin aint gonna help.

ok, they gave me vicodin and horse pills of motrin.
I have an infection in the root that is pushing againt my sinuses. it seems that the sensitive spot on the gums went in to the root and caused it.

oddly, I can't chew any food, but chewing stiff gum makes it feel much better.

Uh. I have had the worst toothache for a while and I can't get to the dentist until October. I've been taking Advil liqui-gel. Take 2 or 3, they work pretty good.

well, I've been taking 3 aleve and 8-12 advil per day.
I don't like doing that cause it thins your blood and then your body gets used to it. then when you stop, you get headaches as your blood thickens.

just had a root canal.
it was on the top. the first root canal I had, I got 5 shots of regular novacaine and then a shot (that they needed the other 5 shots to numb you up enough to take) which they pushed/crunched straight down into you jawbone.

this time, it was on the top back. they only gave me 2 shots of regular old novacaine. they were digging around there with the nerve and I could feel everything. I wish there was a mirror so I could have seen it. regardless, I sure could feel it in the backs of my eyes. honestly, it "hurt" quite a bit. but it was a really odd form of pain since they were dealing right with the rootd of a large tooth. it was like you body trying to tell you that some one is doing something they shouldn't be inside you body.

ouch, I hope I never have to get one of those.

it's just that innate feeling that what they are doing shouldn't be done. I'm guessing that you get a similar but more intense feeling like that when they hook your intestines around a spit and wined them up!

when they would push down, I could feel my eyes bulging out a little too. weird.

I was surprisingly wicked sore this morning. I took another vicodin (I didn't want to take them at work) and now I feel alright. I only have like 7 or 8 of these left.. I hope the soreness goes away. maybe I need these pills plus some tequila.
