It's official: the era of resource wars is upon us. In a major London address, British Defense Secretary John Reid warned that global climate change and dwindling natural resources are combining to increase the likelihood of violent conflict over land, water and energy. Climate change, he indicated, "will make scarce resources, clean water, viable agricultural land even scarcer" -- and this will "make the emergence of violent conflict more rather than less likely."


For once it would be a good idea to actually have a meaningful discussion about this problem regardless of political affiation, because it'll be the biggest we all face in our lives, and burying your head in the sand isn't going to make it go away.

It boils down to population control

Families should only be allowed to birth one child.

If their first born is a female, they should be allowed one more and than cut off.

Than in 300 years time, we will be able to specifically grade each person on weather or not they are able to drive and own firearms, as well as educate children in smaller groups, with a higher chance of success.

of course, with a lower population, there will be less need for firearms.

This would also help cure poverty, gobal warming, diseases, and drastically shorten need for government appointed military.

Exploitation of the earths resources will decrease.

Population controll will raise less over all crop for the government for industrial and military use and yeild more overall independance.

Why the hell should you be allowed one more if you have a female? That makes no sense whatsoever, since females are the stronger sex and a female is more likely to be born than a male because females are more likely to survive (pre-birth), that would do less to decrease the population, and there's nothing wrong with having fewer males, fuck, there are plenty in China already. Some people really just don't need to have any children, it would a crime against nature. Instead of forcing these ideas upon people, it might be a better idea to try explaining to everyone that what they are doing is reckless and will result in the destruction of life on the planet. Having birth contol and abortion options available EVERYWHERE would also help.

Nature has its own population control, it's called us using up all of the planet's resources and starving to death. No matter how awesome man thinks he is nature already has a far better and more efficient method of destroying us.
