'Grey's Anatomy' Star Confirms He's Gay

Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight has confirmed he is gay. The actor, who plays unassuming Dr. George O'Malley on the hit series, decided to go public after rumors began surfacing about his sexuality. Knight confirms to American publication People, "I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumours that may be out there. While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me." Media reports have suggested that Knight was forced to make an official statement after details of a fight between co-stars Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey became public. According to the National Enquirer, the two got into a fight while Filming the show last week and Washington allegedly yelled to Dempsey, "I'm not your little f****t like (name deleted)." The publication said they withheld printing the actual name of the co-star Washington mentioned "because of the extreme nature of the slur."

Osment Pleads No Contest to Drunk Driving Charges

The Sixth Sense star Haley Joel Osment has pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges stemming from a car crash in July. The actor pleaded no contest to one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of possession of marijuana, according to news website Tmz.com. Osment was sentenced to three years probation, 60 hours of alcohol rehab and three months of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He was fined $1,500. The actor almost lost his life when his 1995 Saturn smashed into a brick pillar and flipped onto its roof in a suburb of Los Angeles on July 20. He was treated for a broken rib and an injury to his shoulder in a nearby hospital.

Madonna Concert Censored

Bosses at US TV network NBC have elected to cut controversial crucifixion footage from Madonna's concert special when it airs next month. The TV executives have chosen not to air footage of Madonna recreating the dying pose of Jesus Christ on the cross while performing "Live To Tell" - an image which disgusted religious leaders around the world and led to protests outside venues on the Material Girl's recent Confessions tour. An NBC spokesperson says the decision to delete the footage was made in collaboration with Madonna, who is an executive producer of the special. Last month, the New York Daily News reported that the crucifixion scene, which has sparked outrage among religious leaders, might cause the network to cancel the planned special. The singer has defended the crucifixion scene as part of her appeal to audiences to donate to AIDS charities. As soon as plans to broadcast the concert were made public, the network began receiving criticism from several family and religious groups. The American Family Association has been one of the most vocal groups against airing the special and even threatened to have its members boycott companies that ran commercials during the show. The two-hour concert, Madonna: The Confessions Tour - Live From London, is scheduled to air November 22.

Anna Nicole Buries Her Son

Anna Nicole Smith paid her last respects to her son Daniel Smith in the Bahamas yesterday, a month after the 20-year-old died in his mother's hospital room. A private memorial service was held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens and Mausoleums cemetery on Nassau with 25 mourners in attendance. Insiders claim Daniel, who died of a lethal combination of drugs on 10 September, was buried in an open casket, wearing his favorite clothing - jeans, a T-shirt and a trucker cap. According to sources, Smith was escorted from her home in the Bahamas to Butler's Funeral Home, where her son's body has been lying since his autopsy. Island police were assigned to escort the grieving mother, partner Howard K. Stern and local dignitaries to the gravesite nearby. Daniel's body was transported to his final resting place in a gold hearse. Island Baptist Bishop Neil Ellis conducted the service. In a eulogy delivered by Stern, the attorney who was set to become the dead boy's stepfather, said, "Anna Nicole Smith laid her son to rest today. It was the most difficult day of her entire life."

Armani To Design Wedding Dress for Holmes

Famed fashion designer Giorgio Armani will design Katie Holmes' dress for her upcoming wedding to Tom Cruise. Although no official wedding date has been announced, media reports have suggested the couple will marry in Italy sometime next month. Rod Manley, Director Of Public Relations And Media Planning for Armani tells American publication Us Weekly, "I can confirm that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have asked Giorgio Armani to design their official wedding attire for their upcoming marriage." The spokesman added that an Armani photographer will be taking pictures at the wedding, along with photographers hired by Cruise. Fashion bible Women's Wear Daily claims Armani has designed five different outfits for Holmes for various events taking place on the wedding weekend. Holmes has said she was looking for "something sheer and floaty" to wear for her nuptials. The former Dawson's Creek star confirmed last week that she had selected her wedding dress. The couple have been engaged since June 17, 2004 and have a daughter, Suri, who is six months old.

Emmy-nominated My Name Is Earl star Jaime Pressly has confirmed she is engaged to her DJ boyfriend Eric Cubiche. The couple have been friends for nearly a decade, but only started dating a year ago. The star's publicist, Megan Pope, confirms to American publication Us Weekly, "Jaime is officially engaged." Pressly picked up her ring on Tuesday, which was designed by the couple, from Beverly Hills jewelry store Xiv Karats. A source close to Pressly says, "It's gorgeous!" Sheen and Richards Call Truce During Divorce

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have decided to call a truce in their nasty divorce battle and spend quality time together for the sake of their children. The former couple have been waging war with each other for the past ten months, but decided to put their differences aside in August to resolve any outstanding issues related to their divorce. Although the split hasn't been finalized, the pair were recently spotted spending time with their daughters, Sam, 2 and Lola, 1. A representative for Sheen tells American publication People, "When it comes to the welfare of their children, any past drama is history." A friend of Richards confirms, "They're working really hard to be friends and great parents." On Sunday the family was even seen at a local festival in Hidden Hills, California, along with Sheen's girlfriend of four months, Brooke Mueller. Richards' friend adds, "Denise wants her to feel comfortable. She put together a bag with toys for her and the girls, along with a card telling her she's glad (Brooke) makes their father so happy." Richards has also moved on and has been dating Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora for nearly six months.

Osbourne To Remove Gastric Band

Sharon Osbourne is removing a gastric band that helped her lose a massive amount of weight and will instead rely solely on psychotherapy to cope with her eating issues. The 54-year-old wife and manager of rocker Ozzy Osbourne had the surgery in 1999 and subsequently lost 125 pounds. She tells American publication People, "I have to figure out why I do what I do to myself. I think I have some sort of self-destruction button." Osbourne plans to have the band removed in December, when she returns to the US from Britain. Though the band is designed to limit food intake by squeezing down the stomach's capacity, she gained 15 pounds this year from overeating. She adds, "I keep trying to eat more and more...I'm a pig!" Osbourne claims she has indulged in "chocolate, French fries and junk food" instead of sticking to the nutritious diet required of gastric-band patients. She says when she eats too much, "You throw up...then you eat more." Osbourne claims her three children, Aimee, Kelly and Jack are supportive of her decision to have the band removed. She adds, "My kids, their whole life, have seen me struggle with weight. They say, 'Now you need to spend time on your head.'"

Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida is set to marry a man who is 34 years her junior. The 79-year-old star, referred to as the most beautiful woman in the world in her youth, met Spanish husband-to-be Javier Rigau y Rafols at a party in Monte Carlo and the two have been dating for 22 years. The star, who is affectionately known as "La Lollo" in Italy, says, "We wanted for this to happen sooner, but it just wasn't possible." The couple will tie the knot in New York City before the end of the year. It will be the Come September star's second marriage. She was divorced in 1971 from Yugoslavian-born doctor Milko Skofic. Italian media outlets have extensively reported on the couple upcoming nuptials. She adds, "They have gone mad here in Italy! I didn't think I was going to set off such a bomb!"

Coppola Expecting Baby Girl

Lost In Translation filmmaker Sofia Coppola has finally revealed she is expecting a baby girl - seven months into her pregnancy. The 35-year-old is dating French rocker Thomas Mars, the frontman of Phoenix, and they are still deciding a name for their first child. Coppola tells USA Today, "I'm so excited to have a little girl. We're going to wait and see (about a name). When you're writing, you pick names for characters, but it's harder in real life." Coppola is pleased she is expecting a daughter because she can pick out baby dresses: "I tried to be open about both sexes, but it's so fun to have little girl stuff."
