so yeah... im buying a guitar off of a friend so i can dick around with guitar and play video game music on it and he seems to have lost the bridge to it.

where the bridge should be is two huge lookin screw things. i know this is part of the bridge. it seems like a primitive set up and since i play bass i have never encountered a bridge like this ever. is there a way to get a replacement of this "detachable" piece? or am i fucked?

It's a liscensed version of the 'baddass wrap-around'.

Wraparound fixed bridges are not very common, So I don't know what your odds are of finding one that will fit the bridge posts on that guitar. Your best bet is to contact a bcrich dealer, but even so, you might end up payign up to like 25$ for it.

I'm sure you can find one on ebay or something, but maybe someone has a scrap bcrich laying around.

dude just buy a better guitar. that thing will fall apart. low end bc richs are pretty much the worst guitars ever.

I think the actual badass wraparound bridge would fit it, but it could cost as much as 80$ and that's not worth it for a guitar that only costs like 90 new.

edit: one on ebay for 30$ plus shipping. Not worth it if you ask me:

hmmm... well im pretty much buying a metal zone pedal and getting a guitar for free with it... so its all good. it's somewhere in his house. i'm not buying a guitar because im wicked serious about guitar... i'm a bass player. the guitar was taken care of very well and it looks pretty much new. i COULD install another kind of bridge, right?

technically, no.

Bridge type dictates neck and headstock angle. improper bridge for said neck and headstock angle means the guitar can't be intonated/tuned properly.

You could try and find something very similar, though. Try stewmac.com
