waht else is new

can anyone help with this?


i have emails that i read and now when i click on them i see:
Message has not been downloaded
To download this message
click HERE
press space

but then if i double click so it opens in a new window i get:
Message could not be displayed
Outlook Express encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.

i've rebooted and have nothing else open...i'm def NOT low on memory


help pls?

but i don't get it:
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you are using an Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) e-mail account, and your connection to this account is dropped.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, re-connect to your IMAP e-mail account.

ok now i saw someone post the question in a msg board and here is the answer:
I went to: C:\Windows\Application Data\Identities\{a long number here}\Microsoft Outlook Express and in that file there are all the OE .dbx files.

In amongst those were three others: .old, .dbt and .avx. I deleted those and my problem has been solved and OE works a treat once again.

Hope this helps someone.

Delete the DBX files for the folders that you are having a problem with. Outlook Express will rebuild them the next time it starts.
