So I thought of this after i saw that ZombieHarmony thread:

Does anyone, or has anyone ever had reoccuring dreams about zombie infestation? I guess it could be because i watch so many zombie movies. (They are my favs) Or maybe because i want to slowly eat everyone around me while they twitch. who know's? It's really a bad thing either, it's not like they're nightmares, it's more like they are zombie movies that i haven't seen before. I have em almost twice a week now, and every time i wake up I try to go back into it to kick some more zombie ass. It's like a Steve Niles book, lots of monters, lots of drugs, and the occasional "We're not dead-Fuck".

I guess i shouldnt complain, but it does strike me as being a little wierd because i can't explain the frequency.

Any thoughts? (Besides the fact I am a Homocidal Psycho.)

you've had em too? Do you live every time? Do friends/aquantinces show up that you haven't seen or talked to in a while? Because it seems like my brain pulls old friends names out of a hat to be in them. It's always in different places, and sometimes it's not even zombies sometimes its aliens.

I haven't had those kind of dreams in a while but I do think about it all of the time. I still have many alien invasion type dreams so I guess it's along the same lines.
Most of my dreams are epic adventures, like fantasy novel type stuff. Sometimes they're so good I don't want to wake up.

oh man i love zombie apocalypse dreams. i was watching Day of the Dead as i fell asleep last night, and i kept thinking "man i hope i have a badass zombie dream". i had a vivid one a few years ago that i can still remember fairly clearly.

I am pretty sure I had one the other night -- I remember something about getting the guns and barricading the house.

i wanna be a zombie. i bet it rules

yeah, they're all real epic. And by this point i have had so many of them that i think i would survive for a while if it actually happened. I mean right of the bat in I get a ton of supplies, i usaully baricade myself inside a police station (if I can find one) I make ventures out into the world to find food and water first, and then i make sure i raid any nearby pharmacies so that i dont run out of the important stuff. And as far as not wanting to wake up, i usaully get up to pee, go back to sleep and i take up right were i left off.

Honestly if i knew what caused these dreams i would do it all the time.

.. And i wasnt exagerating, they've been at least twice a week for the last couple months. (i watch zombie movies all the time, i've even watched all the special features on all the ones i have, AND all the commentarys.) Has anyone ever seen "Cemetary Man" with Rupert Everett? Not an all out zombie movie, but really good and frieky nonetheless.

In my last one my buddy (guitar player from Boarcorpse) got ripped in half by zombies, and then suddenly i was having sex with one of the surviving sluts.. I was bummed about my buddy, but i wasnt the only one getting "bummed". WOOO, ZINGGGG!!!

i used to have em once a week for years and years. my friends would be there. i'd always live. but the same thing would happen. my gun would jam, or it would turn into a rubbery prop gun, or in some instances something useless and non-lethal like an ice cream sandwich. every goddamn time. i never got to kill anything.

wow lame.... i get to kill a ton in them... You had em almost every week too? Maybe we should let our dreams become reality. You can play zombie, i can kill you, and then we can switch. and i can play zombie... and oh yeah your dead. FAIL

maybe thats why i've been having all the dreams... because i need to start the gang of death metal zombies... "ZDMA - Zombie Death Metal Alliance" (thanx Fuckismysig for the inspiration) we would be legendary.

so yeah, still having these dreams. Had another one last night with an ex-girlfriend from about 5 years ago in it. We were driving away from the wave of attacking zombies, and for SOME reason she was behind the wheel. (she was the worst driver i've ever met.) .. and of course we crashed into a tree. I woke up then.



has anyone else had any of these recently?

i don't have many actual "zombie apocalypse" dreams that much anymore, but i do have dreams that people i know are zombies. well maybe not zombies in the traditional sense, but walking, rotting undead. actually i have a lot more ghost dreams than zombie ones. i need a good zombie apocalypse dream soon.

no but when i was 10 i had a dream with the giant baby from zombie ate my neighbors. i got crushed then woke up.

I have video game zombie dreams where I die and then get to restart and try again to evade the horde at an earlier point in a different location. If it's not zombies, then it's a cult or some other type of hive-mind that is trying to assimilate me.
