no..we pretty much just drove up rt two mohawk. tried to find hoosac tunnel but my blackberry had no service to i couldnt get at it.. then we explored around mohawk state park and wound up going up to mt monadnock for a few hours.. then somehow wound up at mike's bbq. ill be going back up this fall to explore the hoosac and camp out in the woods. .....maybe ill do tanglewood next year i was overwhelmed with the beauty and the breezy driving.
yes, he was amazing. I might be wrong, but i think he was the ONE OF the first to do the "Gravity Blast" where he hits coming down and up on the snare with one hand.

you ever see the video of him and Gene Kroopa drumming back and forth, and Sammy Davis Jr. immitating the snare hits by tap dancing out the same patterns.
dude Buddy Rich is beyond awesome. his videos on youtube are amazing. the last one he played before he died is moving, he was so sick but when he got those sticks in his hands he played like nothing else in the world mattered. i love the drum off he has with Animal.

seriously, it is amazing how well he played right up til the very last time he picked up the sticks.
