New site? Maybe some day.
fingers not crossed. teixeira can go fuck himself. |
big tex would give the sox the two biggest portuguese baseball stars in their lineup. i don't want lowell to go though. |
the last thing the sox need is another white guy with an ego trip |
so we another dominican guy with an ego trip instead? |
manny is going to the Yanks, lol sexxorsz!!!! |
Manny prefers the company of men. |

Almost every professional ball player has an ego, not matter what race....so what's your point? |
here is your point, an icepick in your face!
OOOHHHHHH YEEAAAAHHHHHH! |
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
THE FUCK?!?!? |
Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press wrote yesterday about Joe Mauer, whose contract runs through 2010. He says the Red Sox are "already salivating over Mauer." I'm sure many teams are. The Twins have yet to talk to Mauer about another extension. Since Mauer is just 26 in April and his next contract will cover only free agent years, the deal could be record-setting (for a catcher) if he stays healthy. |

Last I heard both Cashman, and Steinbrenner denied the reports of an offer to Manny. |
fuck mauer. another white guy with an ego. |
NO MORE WHITES IN BASEBALL |
mauer probably wants to stay in minny and i think it would be nice to see. |
i bet theyre able to pick up varitek at a shorter deal too now that theyve given another boras client the big bucks |
I can't believe anybody has to bargain for an aging defensive catcher who hasn't hit above .255 in like 4 years. Scott Boras is living in another world. |
NO MORE WHITES IN BASEBALL |
SHO' NUFF DEY BOSS! |
ah, i'm just fooling. I was never a huge fan of "tashira" but he is a great ball player. I don't want him on the sox, though. too much money. |
varitek is pretty much all that's out there for catchers, so boras gets to haggle. |

Ah, I'd rather have him then trade for a slugger and have to give up any prospects.
It'll just be a shame that if the Sox get Teixeira, that means Lowell is gone....that will suck.... |
i'd be sad to see lowell go but i think he had him for his prime. its doubtful he'll put up the same kinda numbers in the future. also i think his hip is shot now. |
Maybe, maybe not, either way, it'll suck seeing him go. |
YANKEES SIGNED HIM FOR 8 YEARS HAHAHAHAHAHAHA |
what the fuck!!!!
if they sign manny next thats un fuckin believable |
thats fucking bullshit. DAMNIT. |
YANKEES ARE CLOSE TO A 3 YEAR 70 MIL CONTRACT WITH MANNY
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAATWRNH TDZT6 4YM; |
when the fuck did teixeira become a 20+ mil player? he's really good, but not at that level. his career ops+ is 134, bay's is 131. |
*Sigh*
My hate for the Yankees surges once again. |

He had a great post season, and his stock is high right now. That translates into the Yankees signing him for twice what he's worth, and then condemning him 2 years from now when he's hurt every other week. Carlos Beltran teaches a clinic on it.
I'm really baffled at how the Yanks are fitting all these guys on the payroll. I really just don't get it. Oh well, big spending on the free agent market hasn't worked out for them yet this century, and it will further destroy their already non-existent farm system.
MIKE LOWELL FTW! |
i think manny will go back to the dodgers, but if the yanks managed to get him, and all their free-agent deals panned out, they'd be one of the scariest teams of all-time. |
Just announced that texiera (sp, blow me) is going to the yankees too. Suck it trebek! |
scariest teams of all-time that doesn't make playoffs again. |
it'll be a 3 horse race for 2 playoff spots. sorry, blue jays. better luck next decade.
sox, yanks, and rays: who will miss the 'offs? |
pitching could doom the yanks again, since burnett will probably get hurt. |
good. i was starting to hate him anyways. at least now it's valid. that and it still gives me hope for Zimmerman in 2010 (lowell at dh.) Now if we would just get Moose... |

With Sabathia, a healthy Wang, Joba (if they decide to leave him as starter, a dumb move IMO, but still possible), and either Hughes and/or Kennedy "putting it together" (I think it's highly unlikely that they completely missed on both), I think that'll make up for what Burnett fails to do. |
Tex to the yanks. Wow. It's ok. The sox were so close last year and if everyone stays healthy they can be back again |
on the bright side, this frees up alot of money for lowe, peavy or sheets, and/or to eat some of lugo's contract in a trade for another pitcher or catcher |
and regarding manny, the mets are retarded if they dont sign him. he's a perfect fit, and after the moves they made for their bullpen, theyd definitely be the team to beat in the NL |

Let me just point out that you just named 3 chronically injured pitchers, 1 that the Red Sox notoriously rock the shit out of, and Phillip Hughes. I can only be so afraid of a rotation like that as a Red Sox fan.
Well aware....so it could go either way... |
burnett we all know about, hughes sucked last year because he was hurt, joba is on an innings limit, the yankees have done nothing to try to help their shaky bullpen, sabathia with his weight is an injury waiting to happen i've always thought
the lineup is a monster, it's gonna come down to if their pitching can stay healthy and if their bullpen can put it together |
a healthy wang. lulz at that. |

I was waiting for that...took over 14 hours....I'm shocked |
ha, i'm surprised no one jumped on that earlier. |
