i thought this would be interesting... post a band, person or persons you used to see at shows, maybe even find a picture of them on here from the past, and post it and see if anyone knows where they are so you can get an update on them...

my first "where are they now" is the band abner. i saw this band in rochester 4 years ago, never to see them again. im guessing they broke up, but i was wondering if members are in other bands now, to be honest i dont even remember who was in the band, all i remember is that i liked them the most at the show i went to...

What ever happened to RareForm they were fucking insane?

Hahaha Abner! I'm fairly sure Abner played a total of three shows: one in a Gilford, NH living room, at Right Attitudes in Rochester, NH and at Drifters. I was at the first two. Ryan Mason played drums. He went on to play in both the Western Sky and Backstabbers Inc, but the later was just for one tour. Both guitar players, I'm pretty sure, were in the Lazardos, that pop punk band from way back when. They broke up because their drummer passed away. I think one of them is in Five Bucks now. Abner was pretty much just a project band. I think Eli (one of the guitar players) was just really into metal on the side so this was a chance for him to vent that. The Western Sky were pretty incredible, but they have since broken up.

Humans Being and their legion of girl kick boxers are probably long since gone. When Safe N Sound broke up, all those bands disapeered.

what ever happened to actual metal? im talking about not one ounce of hardcore inspired metal. i think there are like 3 bands like that around here that are actually good.

random crowd surfer:

I met him, McVey, again at the may 25 2002 hypocrisy show. which was almost 2 years ago, though feels like just yesterday.

random hippie dancing girl:

I'm sure she's still gyrating at shows.. I haven't seen her for a long time, but when I hit old school shows, she's there gypsy dancing.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Apr 5,2004 8:38am
she doesn't look like a hippie..no pit hair

toggletoggle post by Toby at Apr 5,2004 9:39am
The problem with that last picture is the two guys who honestly don't find ANYTHING wrong with wearing the exact same Deeds of Flesh shirt to the same show. Sadly, I wouldn't be suprised if it was a DOF show.

Mike Russo? Has he ever played in non-metal bands? My dad played in a band with a guy named Mike Russo about 5 years back.

Anyone remember the tall dude who used to go to metal shows dressed as the WWFs undertaker? He wore a shirt with cutoff sleeves and gloves. And everytime he was in the pit, he would just walk from one side to the other, just pushing people out of the way. We used to call him lurch, and he was more at Providence shows(Lupos, the met, the living room) but I have seen him at select Axis/Avalon shows. Anyone?? Bueller??

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 31,2010 2:29am

Anyone remember that creepy post-apocalyptic thermonuclear AIDS-case plague victim LARPer that would wear white clothes and have little red dots all over him? I'd usually see him at Pearl St and a couple Palladium shows. I'm thinking this was pre-2000. He looked like there was something genuinely wrong with him and he always creeped me the fuck out without fail. I hope he's dead now.
