i picked up a copy of this, i haven't listened to it in well over a decade, i completely forgot how much it kicks ass. even "Clean My Wounds" rules despite it's overplay in the 90's.

Killer album, my favorite CoC album and probably one of my all time favorites.

Shelter is such a killer song. And Albatross too.

Album is what true "rock n' roll" is supposed to sound like

love it, really cool production. Hard to pick a favorite track, but I always thought the opening riff of "Shake Like You" was just mindlessly crushing and awesome.

Shelter is definitely one of my favorites, especially the version on Live Volume.

I think I may be the only one in this thread who mentions Eye For An Eye but god damn that is some fucking great classic hardcore punk.

It definitely has some punk influence... maybe proto-crossover?

Either way, I'll admit I'm not nearly as brushed up on my metal genres as my punk genres so...

All of the original thrash was skateboarder music, so it was both metal and punk. You could call it crossover but that came later. DO you skate?

Nah, I don't skate. I tried it for a while when I was a kid but I could never get the board off the ground. Seems like a lot of awesome music comes from that group of people though.

Everything after that just stopped being COC to me.

Backed 1000%...with all of my heart actually. One of the greatest bands to ever live. Awesome album.

there are totally 2 different bands that are known as COC but I love them both equally...I may even love the later, more southern rock type shit better. I LOVE Americas Volume Dealer almost as much as Deliverance.
