New site? Maybe some day.
Awesome. Sadly, no Canada for them, it seems. :( |
WHOA this better come around here |
agreed! I need to see Despised Icon before they go. |
this show is going to be insane. can't wait. |
Hopefully they'll come to Nashville. Probably not though. |
Great overall line-up and with only three bands, maybe they're gonna have a couple local openers??? With the right local bands, this could be a fucking awesome show. Maybe some Hivesmasher? Dysentary? Composted? Sexcrement? |

Rocko's Pay to Play Fest 2010 #25 |
i hope they dont book this at Rocko's after the EYEHATEGOD debacle. give this show to Club Hell or you're a pussy |
if they can garauntee they'll only play tunes off of Healing Process, I'll be stoked. regardless, I'm down with seeing MI since I've missed them the last few times they've been around.
my inner jerk also wants to collect flat brims all night. |
Take them, bend them and hand them back with a terse "You're welcome, faggot." |

HA! Done and done!! |
That would be worth the price of admission right there |
Do it. Or you know how that one ends. |

the modern ills of man was a really good album too, the drums on that CD were really focused, insane, and technical. never bothered to listen to their new one tho |
mainly cause thats the only album i'm familiar with. |
listen to modern ills of man, much more focused than healing process |

I will buy Aaron a beer the moment I see that shit go down. |

consumed by your poison or GTFO. that album is beastly. though i enjoy all the full lengths (and splits) here and there. but the first pwns them all. |
am i the only one who liked empire of the obscene better than existence is futile? |

im pretty sure i have that one yet i could never remember the name, if its the EP that im thinking of tho, its fucking insane |
I'm with Blue. Consumed is the one. Let's talk insane slams and killer vox. |
Do yourself a favor and listen to both Retaliate and Discordia. Traitors is good but you'll think it's for pussies when you hear those two. |
Oh and I'm also with Blue. Consumed ftw. |

Exception to the Ruled for the ultimate win |

I like the songs from Empire better, more guitar oriented. I feel like there are more "moments" on the first album. |

I couldn't disagree more, This is when they started sucking and doing chugs for the sake of doing chugs. THP is their masterpiece. SOMEONEFIGHTME. |
I'll fight you, if we can make love after. |
Or we can do both at the same time. Keep it interesting. |

Honestly, I think Discordia is their weakest release, mainly because of production, but the songs aren't as memorable either. The Dissent EP and split with Commit Suicide are way more intense and more well written than Discordia. Retaliate is probably my favorite, but Traitors (as well as the new one) definitely holds up very well when compared to Retaliate. |
I disagree. It's a very good game, but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever |

when he said Discordia, I was thinking Dissent |

Backed 120%.
I have to agree that Discordia is my least favorite album of theirs. Every time I listen to Retaliate, it's like the first time I heard it--love that album. Drum tracks on Dissent are flippin' nutzo. |
Oh, and DI's split with BITGOTA was the SHIT. Sounded like hell, but I loved it. |
What are your thoughts on their newest release? I find it fuckwin. |

Agree +1. |
Good tour is good. I like Misery Index but I have to say that once I listened to them and then listened to Retribution from Malevolent Creation and I couldn't tell the difference except for the vox. Weird. |

honestly tho as a drummer, for some albums thats literally all i am concerned with, whether or not the drums are fucking crazy, i do agree that they started doing chug riffs just so they could show off their flat brim hats tho haha, its why i never bothered to check out their latest release. Alexandre Pelletier is a fucking beast, he plays with marching band sticks, and on that album in my opinion it was a bit different, still close to their older stuff but a little more focused and not as sporadic |

Sept. 12 Philadelphia , PA First Unitarian Church
i heard this venue is one of the sketchiest venues in PA haha, should be interesting, looks like a lot of these are smaller venue's than i was excepting them to be playing in |
HOLYOKE!? Of all fucking places...
Gah. |
Don't you dare touch my flatbrim |
yuck. western MA. anyone from north of Boston going to this jimmy jam? |

I'm probably going to this! Actually I'm very much going to this! |
i wanna go to this, never been to the waterfront tavern but it sounds somewhat of a small venue, which would make this tour even more bad ass |

Looks like the show would be in a banquet hall thing.

It's cool, I'd rather play in slightly smaller venues that are sold out or nearly sold out than super-huge venues. The energy is crazier. |

AGREED, some of the best fucking shows ive seen have been by national acts that played in much smaller venues. Nile at the Palladium upstairs was a prime example, myself and yeti can attest to that, SO glad they didnt do it downstairs |
I have submitted to the fact that I will be hauling my ass out to this show. Goddamn Holyoke...
Anyone else going? |
Boston asshole crew in full effect at this show. |
this is going to be a legendary shit show of awesome. i will be there w/ my brother in tow. also i have an extra ticket because my buddy pussed out last minute if anyone needs one. |
ahem, the DI record you're referring to is called: The Ills of Modern Man. NOT the modern ills of man. Thanks. |
I really wish this was closer. Fuck Holyoke. I'd end up making it home in time to get a half hour of sleep before work tomorrow morning...fuck that. |
leaving in like 20 minutes |

right? holyoke sucks. |
Holyoke? Why, you guys need heroin? How about an initiation for MS13?
Holyoke is the shittiest shithole in Western MA. |
last time i was in holyoke i compared it to the shitty part of lawerence |

I didn't realized there were any non-shitty parts of lawrence... |

Any medium sized city in MA sucks.
Lowell, Lawrence, Lynn, Salem, Brockton, Taunton, Fall River, New Bedford, Hyannis, Holyoke, Springfield, Worcester, Pittsfield, Attleboro, Nashua.
Name one city in MA that isn't a shithole. |
my inner jerk also wants to collect flat brims all night. |
since my work is preventing me from going to this or seeing Hirudinea, someone take over this duty for me. |

I agree with every city listed except Salem and Hyannis; they're easily a step or two above the rest. Also, Nashua is in NH. GOOD JOB. |

WAY TO RUB IT IN WITH CAPITAL LETTERS |

only nashua being in MA is real. |
Since when is Worcester a medium sized city? It's the second largest in MA behind Boston. Well, at least that's what the palladium website tells me. |
It's the 2nd largest city in all of New England. Still a medium-sized city, though. In fact, some of those aren't even cities. |
im here now. the first band played and the place looks the most packed i have seen in any show yet. |
despised icon is on from 21:30 to 22:00. who the hell made up those fake times. here you ago, despised icon is on from cookie oclock to watersports thirty. |

idk, the times look fake... like cheeseburger handicap to pumpkin dizzle. |
well i know overseas they use military time.. but di is from canada not europe. so idk |
Canada is a completely made up place. |
i cant wait til canada is invented so all these maps i have are correct.
year since the storm had a lot of people here who are also here for revocation as i type this. they also had the tiniest drummr ever. i think he sleeps in the kick drum. if def lepprd's drummer lost both legs instead of arms, they would probably be about the same height. jokes aside, if i had moved away from the stage monitor which was all vocals, their set would have been a lot better for me. |
revocations had the best crowd reaction ive seen for any band short of the acacia strain. took them way too long to take off their shirts. i almost boycotted. it was also only a 2 shirt night. |
it is getting really close to pickled jasmine... i hope that misery index starts soon. |
idk why i keep thinking that this is misery index's last show too. they had a new guitar player. |
I've often who would win in a shirt-removal contest... the buttdart from Incubus or the arsejart from All That Remains |
I'm finally home. working on pictures. |
why the fuck would elliot wear a watermelon bandanna. that is racist. |
Canada is a completely made up place. |
no its just easy to miss... all tucked away down there. |
I saw so many Justin Bieber look alikes at that show |
dudes getting jumped at this show, it's more likely then you think lol |
heard Devon got jumped :( |
kid's face = LULZ. |
