My brother's going to see him too. I like his stuff a lot. He's like if Elton John and Billy Joel had some GUSTO, or if they were consistently good.
I like pretty much all of Elton John's early stuff and his last few aren't bad either - and haven't looked too far into Billy Joel besides The Stranger which is good. Have you heard The Union with John/Russell? Pretty great album - also got to see the debut of the two of them playing in Boston which was quite cool.

had an asylum choir LP once I remember liking it....Ill have to check out this guy more

He was fantastic. Got my ticket signed and everything. You should check out Leon Russell (the album) and Carney for pretty great starting places. Fantastic show though.
