"First, though, we have to help Americans realize that "no new taxes" is a mantra that is meaningful to the very rich, but largely irrelevant to average working people.
Only when the current generation re-learns the economic and tax lessons well known by the generation (now dying off) that came of age in the 30s through the 60s, will this become politically possible. Americans need to learn what Europeans know about taxes - they only matter to the rich."

there can be no change without uprising and violence. we can only take what is dished to us. no political office change, no partisan change, nothing will steer us clear of this. the only thing that will have any impact is complete economic collapse and chaos. |
|
which i might add, i welcome. it's time us Americans know what it means to fight for what is ours. |
|
people need to be educated, especially about history and from what older generations have already been through, without bias. we've been through all this shit before, unfortunately the US culture at large is conditioned from birth to go by the status quo. education for the masses is most important so people even know what to fight for. problem is, the masses don't want it and instead of paying taxes so their kids can go to school they will keep buying shit at wal-mart.
fucking morons. as soon as my high school ran out of paper and books because they had no money, while a mega mall was being built in town, i knew there was something wrong in this country. people will never change. |

Kill CEOs and politicians or shut the fuck up with regards to all things politic. Please and thank you. |

also remember that revolution is great in theory, but russian socialist uprisings turned to communist dictatorship. french revolution against autocracy turned into napoleon's grand armee. american revolution left the landed elite with the power. slag is right, education is key, exposing corporatocracy of the US government, educating people of the true nature of the military industry, and letting those in power know where the real power lies, these all have value. unfortunately it's impossible to get past false nationalism, false christianity and american fundamentalism, neo-conservatism, fascism disguised as democracy, all these things are part of the disgusting culture of materialism, like it or not. |
