toggletoggle post by succubus  at May 17,2004 10:02am
it was good jim carrey doing serious films now. We saw it yesterday

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at May 17,2004 10:18am
i knew there was already a post about it, but we talked about it in the donnie darko thread too.

Jim Carrey shouldn't do serious movies.

aaron and i liked it!
i like jim carrey doing serious movies too

what didn't you like about tom? AND who did you go with?

toggletoggle post by RustedAngel at May 17,2004 10:37am
it was okay, good acting i guess, but the movie was just annoying... the truman show was definetly better than ES.

i went with someone who saw it before and liked it.

i was trying to see if it was a date ;p

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 17,2004 10:44am
I thought it was a cool concept. I enjoyed the movie.

heck sandler did punch drunk love so why not have carey doing this?
I thought it was interesting that all the "serious parts" had something funny playing in the background.

He can do it all he wants, but if its not Ace Ventura, Cable Guy, or Dumb and Dumber, its mediocre t best.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at May 17,2004 11:28am
you didn't even mention The Mask..i dunno i still think he can do serious flicks too...what was the one with courtney love??

toggletoggle post by moran   at May 17,2004 11:47am
I loved The Mask when it first came out, but its not one of my favorites. He was in a movie with Courtney Love?

toggletoggle post by succubus  at May 17,2004 11:55am
yeah, Man on the Moon

toggletoggle post by moran   at May 17,2004 12:15pm
Oh yeah. Didn't care nuch for that one either.

great movie. i was actually really surprised at how good it was. i think i need to watch it again though so it all sinks in. kate winslett looks so sexy with the orange hair and 60's style skirt in the scene where carey is under the table. oh yeah.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Nov 24,2004 10:09am
i think i want the DVD

toggletoggle post by josiah_the_black  at Nov 24,2004 8:06pm
one of my all time favorites

toggletoggle post by blue nli at Nov 24,2004 9:24pm
i thought this movie was pretty good. the concept was very fresh. but i think the whole dream sequence thing took up too much of the movie. but i pretty much figured out the movie before the halfway point, so i was just watching to see if i was right.

toggletoggle post by __THeMoor__  at Nov 25,2004 1:25am
this movie was incredible. charlie kaufmen is a genius.

toggletoggle post by succubus  at Nov 25,2004 1:30am
there were some parts where aaron and i would look at each other and totally relate..
good date movie

toggletoggle post by sinistas   at Nov 25,2004 7:57am
this movie was so fucking good.

toggletoggle post by TheGreatSpaldino   at Nov 25,2004 8:52am
i bought this movie yesterday... i was pissed that i couldnt find the widescreen... but whatever, this movie is amazing so i just had to own it regardless.

toggletoggle post by Timma at Jan 24,2005 2:09pm
i think it's kind of one of those cult movies. it really didn't do that well in the theaters, but i think thats because no one really got it...or didn't want to. i liked it...especially the part where his memory is being erased while he's running around in it. i'm not a fan of carrey's serious movies either, but i enjoyed this one, unlike the majestic...that movie fucking sucks
