BEHEMOTH, WATAIN and THE DEVIL'S BLOOD are rumored to be joining forces for a Decibel-magazine-sponsored North American tour in the spring.
In an October 2011 interview with Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show, BEHEMOTH vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski stated about his band's U.S. tour plans, "We're putting final touches to a U.S. tour which will start on April 12. The lineup is still a secret, but probably within days or weeks it's going to be revealed to the world. All I got to say now, because I'm not really allowed to reveal any names, but it's like a dream team tour for me. It's going to be very underground, very dangerous and when we go on tours, especially in the U.S., we've always compromised to be on a bill with bands, bigger bands, smaller bands it doesn't matter. But sometimes it's just politics, it's labels involved, it's money and stuff that we need to compromise and there's bands that we hate, good guys, you know, but a lot of music that's on the bill it's shit, and this time, for the first time ever, it's my favorite bands on the bill. Just wait and see — it's going to be a huge surprise. It's going to be massive. It's very underground, but people will fucking love it. People are dying to see this kind of bill; it's going to be super-evil. It's going to be the most satanic tour that's going to invade the U.S in a long time and there's going to be no tour like that in years. That's a promise; just wait and see. I can't wait for this to happen."
BEHEMOTH's "Evangelia Heretika - The New Gospel Three" DVD (2010) — a three-disc set featuring two full shows ("Live In Paris 2008" and "Live In Warsaw 2009"); every BEHEMOTH music video ever made; "Evangelion" tour documentary featuring band interviews plus tons of backstage footage; and a bonus "Live in Warsaw" audio CD — was certified platinum in the Poland for sales in excess of 10,000 copies.
BEHEMOTH recently released a video for the song "Lucifer", off "Evangelion". The Grupa 13-directed clip features Polish singer, guitarist, and poet Maciej Malenczuk, who also contributed guest vocals to the track.
WATAIN's fourth album, "Lawless Darkness", entered the official chart in Sweden at position No. 26 and dropped to No. 37 the following week.
"Lawless Darkness" sold around 1,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 42 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Lawless Darkness" was released in Europe on June 7, 2010 in a limited three-panel digipack edition with die-cut and a cover of DEATH SS' "Chains of Death" as a bonus track. |

The Devil's Blood is worth seeing live... caught them in March 2009 in Baltimore with Pentagram. Good show. |

Agreed, I said this on FB last night too, bro.
Where my Dawn (swe) too? |

Also, that is a chill tour. |

Watain sucks, it isn't 2002 anymore |
Didn't realize music was only cool during a particular era of time and it stopped being good after that. |
Didn't realize being chill was now gay. |

I've never liked Watain either. They're everything that's lame about Black Metal. Cover yourself in deli meat about it. |
Didn't realize Lawless Darkness was anything but awful. |
Youre right about that minus final track |
with the acception of The Devils Blood, who cares? |
On second thought I might go to this if it's at a venue with reentry so I can interrupt a conversation between Erik and some fan to correct the guy on Antaeus trivia. |

the devil's blood should be on a better tour |

KILLER NEWS! LOVE DEVILS BLOOD |

i dont want to have to go to a behemoth/watain show just to see TDB. |
As has been rumored, Behemoth will indeed hit the road in North America this spring with support from Watain, The Devil's Blood, and In Solitude. An official announcement is expected tomorrow, but in the meantime, the following date has surfaced:
5/8 Toronto, ON @ The Opera House |

Ok, in solitude being on the tour makes things a bit better. Hope ticket prices won't be absurd. |
Why is watain headlining over behemoth? |

Decibel Magazine Tour Line Up Announced
Behemoth, Watain, The Devil's Blood and In Solitide take part in premier heavy metal magazine's inaugural tour starting in April
Blackened clouds are gathering overhead, and it's all our fault. North America's premier heavy metal magazine is launching the maiden edition of its annual earth-scorching tour this April. The inaugural Decibel Magazine Tour will feature not just the long-awaited stateside return of Polish blackened death metal overlords Behemoth, but support from Swedish black metal provocateurs Watain, Dutch prog mystics the Devil's Blood and Swedish old-school occultists In Solitude.
Beginning in April and laying waste through a gargantuan 26-date run, the Decibel Magazine Tour (presented by Metal Blade Records, IndieMerchStore.com, FYE, ESP Guitars and Good Fight Entertainment) not only offers four diverse European artists hand-picked by the magazine, but doubles as Behemoth's first U.S. tour since vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski's well-documented battle with—and triumph over—leukemia.
Gruesome visual evidence of this tour package is forthcoming: We went all the way to Sweden to capture the frontmen and women of all four bands for our special Decibel Magazine Tour cover story, streeting in April. "Considering the fact that we'll be sharing the stage with the most evil and uncompromising bands around—Watain, the Devil's Blood and In Solitude—this already makes it a legendary bill that you can't miss out on!" promises Nergal. "Watch out. We won't show up—we will ARRIVE with all the strength and might!"
"Part of Decibel's mission is to push the boundaries of what a metal publication is capable of doing," adds Decibel editor-in-chief Albert Mudrian, the tour's principal curator. "By bringing bands like Watain, the Devil's Blood and In Solitude to larger stages in the U.S, we create an additional vehicle to help raise their profiles. It's another way to infect the mainstream with the power of the underground."
It only makes sense that Decibel would present a tour package with a sense of integrity, purpose and history. "It is a joint force of artistic adversity and sinister creativity," assures Watain frontman Erik Danielsson, "which makes me think of the glorious days when bands like Venom, Metallica, Exodus and Slayer toured together like a great middle finger raised towards their sheep-minded contemporaries."
Excited yet? Well, here's an early opportunity to score a great deal AND avoid standing in line. Fifteen premium packages are available in each market that include your ticket to the show, a tour T-shirt, a tour poster and a super-exclusive "Skip the Line" pass to move you to the front when doors open. The price of this package is less than you would spend on a ticket and a tour shirt at the show! More details, including tour dates, venues and ticket info will be announced at www.decibelmagazinetour.com on January 24th. Every ticket purchased through Top Spin will come with a commemorative laminate, and all fans that purchase their ticket through Top Spin will be entered to win an ESP Guitar.
Hails to our partners!

"skip the line"? faggots. |
I love how Watain was supposed to be the rebirth of kvlt black 90s black metal but they are total autograph signing rockstars now. |
I don't hate Watain, I just don't care, and Behemoth sucks. |
Watain puts puts on great show (when they're not strung out) but they've been interesting me less and less since Casus Luciferi. The Devil's Blood and In Solitude will be a treat, though |
All of the bands on this tour blow. |
I thought sweet, merciful cancer had saved us from further Behemoth tours. WHY HAVE YOU FAILED ME, CANCER?!? |
The Devil's Blood is the best band on earth right now. |
I actually don't mind Behemoth's albums but live they are boring as hell. Watain sucks. In Solitude are alright but I prefer my Mercyful Fate riffs with King Diamond vocals. In solitudes vocals just seem wimpy. I haven't heard much of the Devils Blood but what I've heard hasn't impressed me. Boring tour is boring. |
The Devil's Blood is the best band on earth right now. |
agreed. IN Solitude is a cool addition and Im not a Watain hater by any means. good show is good. |
add Abigail Williams and Goatwhore to the bill and you have a professional tour my friends! |
Behemoth would probably not play anything I would want to hear from them.
I do enjoy listening to Watain sometimes but they put me to sleep at MDF.
Dunno the other two bands by anything but name because I am false. Not to mention it wouldn't be worth it to see a show that will no doubt go to the Palladium or some bullshit. |

No Devildriver? |
Watain and Behemoth both suck. Satanic my ass hair.
In Solitude, I'm up in the air on them. Their riffs and atmosphere sound like they are rooted in real metal, although their hopping on one of the latest trends makes them suspect.
The Devil's Blood, same deal with them. Doesn't get much trendier.
Watain has catchy songs. I would be there to smell them.. er... see them again. |
As much as I am not a fan of Behemoth or Watain, I'll probably go for the live aspect.
I don't know anything about Watain's reputation for smelling, but if there's any advantage to this being Downstairs at the Palladium, it's that I can watch it from the back and still have a decent view. |
The fact that this show will probably be at the Palladium is way more of a deterrent to my attendance than any band playing there could ever be. Fuck that place. |
STFU you twats. All of the bands on this tour rule.
Behemoth are 100x better live than on record. Watain is the opposite, but they are quite the spectacle and usually fun. The Devil's Blood, haven't seen them, but it's the right balance of buttrock and satan, and In Solitude are riff machines.
I doubt there will be a better Palladium level tour package this year. |
That said, nothing will beat when Watain played to a half empty room at the upstairs Middle East. I've seen them 3 (maybe 4) times and that was the only time the stench had a real effect on me. Reeked of death. |

anybody flyering for Horna tonight?? |
Notshaver told me he was. |
Meh, in solitude is playing now. I don't really care for them. Also the lighting here is just horrible. They could have just left the lights off and it would probably would have been better. |
Oh man, I made the mistake of opening my mouth while shooting the devils blood. It ruined the flavor of my gum. I think one of the members slept in a tauntaun belly for the past few years. All the dudes in this band are covered in rancid blood. |
Also, the lighting somehow got worse. |
Only Impiety chum smell is real. |
Post whhen watain goes on. |
They went on at 9ish. they are on now. |
They smell really really bad.. I wished I had rubbed pizza into my mustache. |
Holy shit. Is this show gonna be over at 1030? |
Even thought watain over all just smells like actual decaying flesh and rotting clothing, it is amazing how many girls (and guys) here that would totally stick one of their rancid blood covered spikes and stick it in their pee holes. Its like a anne rice vampire movie where these guys are all the rot n roll vampires. Oh wait, kids are into twilight and have no clue who anne rice is.. so kids imagine that these guys sparkle in the sun light, but instead of sparkling, then smell more like re-heated road kill. Someone post that video of that girl kissing the roadkill skunk. I really have no clue what songs they played though I kept waiting for something off sworn to the black and didn't hear anything. While shooting them, I had to hold my breath... and I can hold my breath for a loooooong time. |
I can't wait for the corpse paint Hot Topic buckle pants pictures. Death to Falses. |
I didnt take pics for some reason, i dont what came over me but im sure rev got some |
Waiting for results. If Aaron wins I will gladly buy him a beer at MDF. |
SO GLAD IN SOLITUDE ONLY PLAYED 4 FUCKING SONGS WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK |
So glad I did not attend this shit fest. The Devils Blood is playing MDF, and I knew In Solitude would play 20 minutes at best. Also fuck the gay palladium. |
That was the best Watain set since their first show at the Middle East upstairs. In Solitude were better at MDF last year. The Devil's Blood were fantastic. Behemoth seemed solid, but I only know a couple songs.
The Palladium has random spots you can stand and get great sound, and whole lot of shitty spots for shitty sound. |
I took way way way way too many shitty pictures; |
I also talked to dave from the grave. |
I thought he died. But then he found me on facebook. |
Well Behemoth was ok shitty set list but good to be out and have some fun and see some shows. Watain bored the fuck out of me, bad sound for all bands but the solo was boring as hell! Also, for the girl and her boyfriend, if you cant stand be squished in the front row, then go home and cry to momma! Grow up u little shits!! Good to be out and see shows, but every show is not a winner but still a show. if you missed it you did not miss nothing! |
OH and sorry for the two girls I demolished when they tried to cut in front of me in the front row. I feel bad, but at that moment I was pissed! Oh well its a metal show.. deal with it! |
No duck duck goose? Was there dethklok fans for Behemoth? What am I saying, OF COURSE there was? Is Watain still vastly over rated? Where are pictures of sluts.... |
Did Erik hit his growth spurt? |
oops, I fell asleep while the images were processing |
Did Erik hit his growth spurt? |
Haha, nope so he stood on a box. This band's a complete joke. |
He looks like an action figure on display. |
In Solitude had bad sound. They had a better set at MDF. The Devil's Blood were great. I was not expecting so much guitar sorcery noodle time, but I was into it and sounded pretty good from the tier behind the sound booth. I thought Watain delivered their best set since I first saw them at the Middle East upstairs. |

They played "The Serpent's Chalice"... It's off STTB |

STTD* they played two or three songs off sworn to the dark
STTD* |
I've got to look into how many bands have gotten sick from using putrid blood on stage. Got to be unhealthy. |
What songs did The Devil's Blood play? I know they played Evermore, She, and Christ or Cocaine. But I have no idea what that really long song they played is called. And was there another song in there? I forget. |
I'm stupid for not shooting their set list. |
I've got to look into how many bands have gotten sick from using putrid blood on stage. Got to be unhealthy. |
that how negral got aids |
It was a great show...I'm finally not hungover. |
I took way way way way too many shitty pictures; |
I did the exact same thing. Also, there were no set lists to be found for photos for any of the bands that I could see. |
All bands other than In Solitude (they were dull) had really great sets. Anyone pissed Behemoth didn't play older stuff like Grom, needs to get over it already. It isn't going to happen so deal with it. They sounded amazing. |
Show was fucking boring. Party bar was cool. |
If anyone's interested, the 10+ minute song that The Devil's Blood played is Voodoo Dust. I just figured it out after listening to the Come, Reap EP. |
