Dan from Skull Hammer is organizing a road trip from Massachusetts to Warriors of Metal Fest Open Air V in Pataskala, Ohio. How about that? An awesome festival that isn't all the way in Germany! Information about the caravan can be found on this link:
https://www.facebook.com/events/109289252515006/
A ticket to the festival for the weekend is 50 bucks. If you get a 4 pack though, they're only 40 bucks each.
I also included the festival poster.

other than twisted tower dire and manilla road, who are all these bands? |
|
Argus and Borrowed Time are two great newer bands. Helstar is decent as well, you know, despite this artwork:

|
Helstar are ok. I have Nosferatu on tape somewhere. |
|
yea I've heard OF helstar. that artwork isn't THAT bad. of course, it's not that good either.
kid your mom has nosferatu on tape somewhere. |
|
Nosferatu and A Distant Thunder are both very good albums. Anyway, I'm psyched about a few bands on this (including all the above-mentioned) but Twisted Tower are what gets me there. I gotta do it. |
|
honestly if it wasn't a few days after Iron Maiden (i will be dead broke for at least a week after) I would go to see twisted tower and manilla road, but.............. i won't. |
|
Was mostly looking forward to Manilla Road playing a long set, but doesn't look like I'll be able to make it to this after all. |

Borrowed Time is playing at Seax's album release party on July 5 at Metal Thursday. So if you wanna check em out, come on down. I caught them at Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse last weekend. I can tell you first hand that they put on an awesome show. |

Not as good as the one your mom put on |

Passing through the Erie Canal on your way to this fest your crew grows wearing of their meager rations and lack of plunder. Their mutiny successful, you are marooned in Rochester NY until a handful of green privateers ask you to captain their decrepit frigate. You accept, under one condition...we shall call our frigate Manilla Road. |

You are quite possibly the best troll ever. That was awesome! |
|
Borrowed Time stole my high school band name idea. Bastards. |
|
I wanna go to this, is anyone still going? |
|

Manilla Road and Exxplorer.
These two bands are two of the greatest bands of all time.
On a related note, it's a shame that rumor about Jag Panzer getting back together(with Chris Broderick to boot) to play ONE show at WoM and shoot a live DVD turned out to be false. |

Yeah they were supposed to play but ended up pulling out because they disbanded. That was why the organizer instead went for Manilla Road. |
