I just got a gatefold copy of Symphonies of Sickness and the fuckin thing was water damaged. (not mentioned in the auction) The good news is that it plays fine and sounds fucking awesome.

Started to wonder what is everyone's favorite LP

I like em all a lot...buy I would rank the necroticism, symphonies, heartwork, reek swansong. Necroticism just has that awesome transitional sound from the early grind to the later melodic death sound. Side note, county medical examiners is a good band to scope if interested in carcass rip offs. They sound more like carcass than exhumed.

Reek is my favorite but symphonies is a close second. 'slash dementia' is my fuckin JAM.

necroticism, catchy-est songs. Lot more rocky, lot less noisey.

I love Necroticism front to back. I even took the time recently to edit wav fies to make all of the intros different tracks for my ipod. (It looks so cool on the ipod that way) It was my favorite for the longest time, but in the last couple years I have become more and more obsessed with Symphony.

Symphonies was my first. Like many other bands with several stellar releases, that is usually the tie breaker.

Necroticism hands down. Symphony close second.
Funny this thread would pop up on the day I'm wearing my one and only carcass shirt

Monster at the end of this book, and Hide & Seek With Grover are literary classics and the only acceptable pieces of Grover fiction.

I've never seen Hide and seek with grover, but i bet it's amazing. Grover pretty much bats 10/10

to me, the name Carcass will always make me think of the gloriously disgusting sounding first two albums. Necroticism is an excellent album for different reasons, but nothing beats this

yah, first two albums easily. still a huge fan of everything else minus Swansong.

toggletoggle post by chrisREX  at Aug 7,2012 4:04pm
I have never even listened Swansong.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Aug 7,2012 5:21pm
the first Carcass song i heard was in like 97 or 98 on a sampler called "Earplugged 2" and it was "Keep On Rotting in the Free World". i still don't think i've ever listened to Swansong because of it.

Lol @ earplugged samplers.
Remember Nuclear Blasts "Death" comps?

toggletoggle post by tomballs at Aug 7,2012 5:40pm
Swansong is still good, yall ain't even know.

Reek for over-the-top shittiness and strange noises.

Necrotism for great songs and decent production.
