yeah, i don't get it. if someone has personal problems with me or mike, whatever that's one thing. but being elitist about a free night to listen to metal and drink beer with other metalheads seems dumb. just don't go. listen to records in your room by yourself. no big deal.
we were dealing with the dude from o'briens for shows and he said he was interested in trying out dj nights to get people in there drinking early in the week when its slow. didn't seem like a big deal. just an excuse to get people out of the house for something cheap to do... listen to decent music, support local bands by playing their stuff, etc. fuck it, why not?

mightve been a liscensing issue? i dunno, bartender was pretty nice throughout. even asked me who a couple bands were he liked and made notes to check 'em out, so he wasn't a total hater.
first night went way better than expected. people actually showing up for it was a nice touch. i guess they did well enough at the bar to maybe make it a monthly thing, so if people like watching old satanic horror movies and listening to shitty music while drinking shitty beer with shitty people on a monday night, come out and support! |
