Today, hooded demons Midnight premiere the new track "Ready for Destruction" at heavily trafficked web-portal Clrvynt.com. The track hails from the band's highly anticipated EP-cum-collection Shox of Violence, set for international release on February 20th via Hells Headbangers. Hear Midnight's "Ready for Destruction" in its entirety exclusively HERE.

Since 2003, Cleveland's Midnight have been slaying the metal/punk underground with their own, highly addictive brand of lust, filth, and sleaze, building up a sizable (and collectible) catalog along the way. And while 2012's Hells Headbangers-released Complete and Total Hell collection compiled Midnight's massive amount of EPs and splits up to (and successive of) their now-classic debut album, Satanic Royalty, the new kings of Hell needed yet another bursting-at-the-seams compilation that wrangles all their EPs and splits since that momentous debut: enter Shox of Violence.

More than the usual odds 'n' sods collection so endemic to heavy metal, Shox of Violence features four brand-new songs to keep Midnight's rabid legion of devotees sated while their third album for Hells Heabangers is being prepared. As such, those four songs are being released as a stand-alone 12" MLP, while the CD and tape versions pack a mammoth 25 tracks total. Across Shox of Violence, in addition to the four new songs, you will find the cover of Venom's "Too Loud (for the Crowd)" flexi that was available exclusively to subscribers of Decibel magazine, some super-rowdy live tracks, and a handful of covers of Midnight favorites The Spits, covers of the likes of Quiet Riot, Girlschool, the Pagans, Australia's Taipan, and NWOBHM cult Crucifixion among others: all songs that have yet to make it to CD format, essentially. Complete and total hell - again! - complete and total Midnight, hear these legends-in-the-making at their rawest and most rabid...Shox of Violence!

The next shock can be heard exclusively HERE, courtesy of Clrvynt.com. The previously-revealed "Who Gives a Fuck" can be heard exclusively HERE, courtesy of InvisibleOranges.com, and the track "Death Scream" can be heard at Hells Headbangers' Bandcamp HERE, where the album can also be preordered. Cover and CD tracklisting are as follows:

Says Athenar, "1989 looks to be a heck of a year for us. We have a new four-song EP coming out called Shox of Violence on Hells Headbangers - it's a total basher. We're also doing a North American tour with deutsche thrashers Kreator, who have a new album coming out called Extreme Aggression. Also on the bill are Obituary (formerly Xecutioner), who have a debut album being released entitled Slowly We Rot - sounds heavy! I sure hope the 1990s don't suck ass! See you on the streets."

The tour to which Athenar refers is the sixth-annual Decibel Magazine Tour, set to take place this March and April. Since its inception in 2004, Decibel has redefined what a metal magazine can accomplish. From authoritative books and celebrated festivals to the revitalization of the classic flexi disc format and the creation of the renowned Decibel Hall of Fame series, the publication continues to push far beyond the accepted boundaries of print. The annual Decibel Magazine Tour - launched in 2012 - may very well be the finest of its ventures. For the past six years, ambitious curation has unified artists from far reaches of the extreme universe who would otherwise never have the opportunity to tour North America together. The lineup for the 2017 Decibel Magazine Tour continues that proud tradition, as German thrash metal founders Kreator align with Florida death metal legends Obituary, old-school Ohio brutalizers Midnight and celebrated progressive death prodigies Horrendous (with regional openers in select markets to be announced shortly).

Of 2017’s four featured acts, two will release new LPs in 2017 to coincide with the Decibel Tour: Kreator, with their 14th full-length album, Gods of Violence; and Obituary, with tenth effort Obituary. The latter have already been honored with an authoritative Hall of Fame feature on 1990’s landmark album Cause of Death. In 2015, Horrendous took home Decibel’s Album of the Year honor for their Anareta release. Additionally, Kreator, Midnight, and Horrendous have each recorded and released exclusive tracks via the Decibel Flexi Series, and Obituary will soon join them, recording a flexi track that will appear in the annual Decibel Tour issue of the magazine that hits stands this March.
