Polling site dress code applies to toddler
Tuesday, November 02
ATLANTA, Nov 02, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- An Atlanta area poll worker Tuesday told a mother she could not vote because her baby, who was in a stroller, was wearing a Kerry themed garment. The unidentified woman was told she could not enter Peachtree Christian Church near Ansley Park because campaign clothing was prohibited near polling sites, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. However, another mom who had brought some teenagers with Kerry T-shirts, but who were too young to vote, was allowed to cast a ballot, said Ryan Marren, a Republican who voted for Bush at the church. Marren told the Journal-Constitution enforcement might have been random because the polling site was crowded and a bit disorganized. Clothing, pins or other political advertising are prohibited because no partisan campaigning is allowed within 150 feet of a polling place. Copyright 2004 by United Press International.

They should have beat her child to death with a stick. That would have been funny as hell.
