SHADOWS FALL SINGER TEAMS UP WITH PETA2 TO LEAVE FANS A MESSAGE

Brian Fair Records Voice-Mail Greeting and Grants Exclusive Interview at
peta2.com

Norfolk, Va. - Shadows Fall lead vocalist Brian Fair might belt out
hardcore with a vengeance, but he refuses to take part in the war on
farmed animals. That's why Brian recorded a greeting for peta2-PETA's
youth-focused division-that urges people to help animals by going
vegetarian, and fans can download it into their voice-mail. "What's up?"
begins the recording. "This is Brian Fair from Shadows Fall, and the
person you're trying to reach wants you to know that the meat and dairy
industry are based on suffering and cruelty ..."

Brian started thinking about going vegetarian when he was in eighth
grade, after listening to The Smiths' "Meat Is Murder." "It was just
this feeling I had that I could no longer be part of the cycle of
death," he says in an exclusive interview at peta2.com. Brian also
believes that one reason so many people accept the abuses of farmed
animals is that the cruelty is "faceless," far removed from everyday
life, and that sometimes people need to be jolted back to reality. Most
chickens, pigs, and cows on factory farms spend their entire lives in
extremely crowded stalls, cages, or crates, often unable to turn around
or take even a single step. Most see daylight only once in their
lives-when they are being shipped to the slaughterhouse.

"Anyone who wants to go to a slaughterhouse or check out PETA's videos
will see-it's completely shocking," says Brian. "It's a lot easier just
to see a Happy Meal than to see a carved-up carcass."

Brian Fair joins an ever-growing list of musicians-including My Chemical
Romance, Napalm Death, Dillinger Escape Plan, and Converge-who have
teamed up with peta2 to inspire kids to challenge outdated, cruel
attitudes about animals. Also featured on peta2.com are celebrity
interviews, message boards, downloadable iron-ons, and chances to win
great prizes like free concert tickets, CDs, autographed merch, and
more.
