Yes and no. The Nazis adopted the symbol from the book "Secret of the Runes" by Madam Helena Blavatsky who wrote about a secret Tibetian society that used this symbol to mean creation and the birth of the "Aryan" man. The book was adopted by the "Thule Society" around 1918, the thule society was the group that backed Hitler into going into political office, thus why the Swastika was used because it was a symbol to bring back the Aryan roots that Blavatsky wrote about.

There's a history lesson for ya.
