ok this is a very vauge question. it's a bit subjective i think. basically if you play on a national headliner gig, you are playing for their crowd, and not your own. so saying that you played for 1000 people has nothing to do with what Your band draws. in this scene, it's hit or miss, and one cannot even begin to try to say predict many people will show up to their gigs. especially with the amount of bands booking shows over your own shows.
