I do have a tube amp (Mesa SimulClass 2:95) But what youre saying is even w/ tube power it wont jive with the digital preamp? I used to do this with a Mutron Volume/wah thru my old Marshall, and it was perfect for solos. Related note: Ive gotten some decent sounds with my POD, while recording direct. Nothing earth shattering obviously, but definitely some worth saving. However, as I said, nothing earth shattering, so my ? is, do you guys know any tips or gizmo boxes (besides a di) thatd help a direct POD tone? I DO premix, and that helps A LOT, but I need more!!!! Any help much appreciated. Also.....since pod being pod is a direct box already, how much would I benefit from another standard DI?
