That's how it is in America....and most countries..and for all of humanity.

All the things I know about my ancestors are probably myths and legends, though a lot of them are famous myths.

Hell I bet half the people here can't even name their great grandparents.

I know my generation, my mom's generation but nothing about my father's side, though I have seen him a few times...I even know his name.

then I know my grandparents and a few of their siblings, then bammmm I lost track of my ancestors a huge gap between them and our founding father.
