After four or five supremely frustrating (and data-loss-a-rific) system crashes, I finally did a squeaky-clean Win2000 install (fuck XP) with all the meat-and-potatoes apps installed (WinZip, Acrobat, Powerbar, etc.), and Ghosted that shit to a couple of CDs. Bang - instant recovery disks, w/out all that free trial bullshit that usually comes with OEM restore CDs.
