Well said. A redneck will keep your ass alive in the most desolate of locations. Particularly in the north where we currently live. Survival is knowledge and knowledge means survival.

If growing my own food and hunting my own meat makes me a redneck, then I guess that I'm a redneck. I guess that living in a log cabin also helps, but I love my home and wouldn't trade it for all of the concrete and pavement in the world.
