Newer Katatonia is formulaic, and overuses the pop/rock structures for their songs. I have no problem with clean vocals, as I obviously enjoy bands like Opeth and Novembre. Both aforementioned bands have incredible vocalists, and unfortunately Jonas simply can't compete with them. The omission of interesting melodies, miserable riffs, and harsh vocals, has caused them to lose their original aesthetic appeal. Fresh mozzarella and tomato on french bread, thanks.
