Haha, I've been missing them for years, so it's nothing new. And yes, I've heard those bands. No one can really capture that same feeling but Rapture came somewhat close. I really enjoyed the album "Futile", which had Jarno from Shape of Despair playing guitar.

Futile is an awesome record... you should also check out the slightly obscure Fallout, by Slumber (2004). A bit faster paced but some seriously excellent riffing imo.
i love fallout. slumber finally has a new one coming out. can't wait for that.

Really? I heard they had to change their name, do you know anything about that?

This is from their myspace. You can hear some samples from the new album there.

News -June 09

The recording of Resonance has been re-set to October 5th - November 15th.
It will be recorded at the isolated sphere of "Panic Room Studios" in Skara as the last album. This time though, we have twice the time and much more knowledge. The album will shine !!

New line-up for the album recording and live performance;

Ehsan Kalantarpour - Vocals / Synth
Jari Lindholm - Guitar
Siavosh Bigonah - Bass / Growl
Markus Hill - Guitar
Ted Larsson - Drums
Mikael Brunqvist - Live 3rd guitarrist and percussionist

Female performances by Ida Sundquvist, Lina Svärd and Vinköl choir.

This is the moment some of us has been preparing our whole life for. The era of majestic melancholy in music that in time, hopefully can grow into a real live performing large orchestra of... dooom haha. We'll give this album our everything !

I hope you're enjoying the preview of Resonance. We'll put up more songs as we go along.

Take care

/Ehsan and Slumber
