Well, I didn't even mean all starving people around the world, I meant in the same city. Other countries are obviously a different matter, a person can only do so much after all. But just in the US alone, when you think of how many dogs get well fed and how many people have trouble affording food, many of whom despite working hard for a living, many others who are children, that is kind of fucked. We spend a LOT on dogs in this country (buying them, treating them, feeding them, often pampering them) and a dog riding around in a limo in the same city where a war vet starves on a corner and poor children go hungry is just the pinnacle of that insane inequity.
