Forgive me if this has been posted already, but we lost one of the good guys on October 2nd: Mark Sheehan. I'm still pretty fucked up by this.

Mark was the singer in Out Cold and played drums and guitar in Bad Chopper (with CJ Ramone and Walter Lure) and Warm Jets (with CJ Ramone).

He also drummed and played bass with GG Allin (most notably on the SUICIDE SESSIONS - that's his drum pounding on "Snakeman's Dance" which is heard throughout HATED. Mark also appeared on the FREAKS, FAGGOTS, DRUNKS, AND JUNKIES LP).

Mark was also very briefly a member of Bulge.

The obituary below was posted on the Dracut funeral Home website

DRACUT - Mark T. Sheehan, 41, of Dracut died unexpectedly on Friday, October 1, 2010.

Mark was born on June 15, 1969 in Lowell, a son of the late Thomas and Sandra (Bright) Sheehan. He was raised and educated in Dracut, graduating from Dracut High School class of 1988.

Mark worked for many years at Saints Memorial Hospital as well as UMASS Lowell, and was also an accomplished musician. He was the singer and principle songwriter in the long-running hardcore band Out Cold. He was also in bands with C.J. Ramone of The Ramones and the late G.G. Allin, as well as several other projects over the years. The success of his musical collaborations allowed him to travel to other countries, playing to fans all over the world. His love of music saw him transition between numerous roles, including guitar, bass, vocals, drums, even recording/producing. His animated personality and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by a brother Michael Soucy and his wife Amy of Dracut; three sisters Karen Weiler and her husband Edward of Gainesville, GA, Lisa Hannan and her husband David of Loxahatchee, FL, and Deborah Bradley of Newport News, VA; several nieces and nephews Lynnette, Erick, Lauren, Tyler, Ryan, Sean, Jason, Nicholas and Jennifer; four great-nephews Jacob, Nathan, Lucas and Zayden; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Friends are invited to call at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Saturday from 2 until 6 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mark Sheehan Memorial Fund C/O Lowell Five Savings Bank, 2021 Lakeview Avenue Dracut, MA 01826.
