I didn't find it important as to which faction you join, as all the missions from the other 2 factions are still available once you've completed the main plot. The world is beautiful if your system can handle it, and the destruction doesn't get old, even after the game is beaten. Like in GTA, there are a few different kinds of things to collect that are scattered all over the world, like tribal skulls and briefcases with drugs in them.
