Die Winters is one of the top extreme female vocalist in the U.S.A. All too often, many ignorant critics try to compare her to Angela Gossow(Arch Enemy) and Morgan Lander(Kittie). But the comparison is as useless as comparing Max Cavalara(Sepultura) with Dani Filth(Cradle Of Filth) and Chris Barnes(Former Cannibal Corpse). Bottom line, there is no comparison. All three are legends and all three have very different vocal styles.

Another fact that seperates Die from the aforementioned vocal femme fatales is the fact that she started out with a solo project called Fragile Frost in 1997. Angela didn't join Arch Enemy untill 2001 and Kittie didn't hit the scene untill 1999 which makes Die Winters ahead of her time. More recently she has been working on incorporating "clean" vocals into the works. This is evident on the new album. And while this gives critics a reason to accuse her of attempting to be another Cristina Scabbia(Lacuna Coil), her main vocal style will forever maintain her individuality in the Metal Frontwoman world.

It's sad that the prior portion of Die's Bio has to be posted here but so is the world we live in.
