| To be honest, the neofolk bands that should have been the draw for me, weren't. I went to see Northern slay with their new lineup. I can't make it to the Norway Fest on saturday (click here for details), but you should. I was totally blown away by a lot of the bands tonight that sort of took me off guard. All different types of music. Night Profound was by far my biggest surprise of the night (besides talking with Andy from Life@zero for a long time). Night Profound weren't metal but they ruled. Also, fire + ice reminded me of current 93 a lot. All in all a great night. Oh and the chop shop pub is such a cool place. Really clean and well decorated. Even though they wouldn't let me take home some of the balloons, there should be more stuff done there in the future. | |
