Here's a little helpful guide for those of you who don't get it:

doom   (dm)    n. Inevitable destruction or ruin. Fate, especially a tragic or ruinous one. A decision or judgment, especially an official condemnation to a severe penalty. Judgment Day.

grind  (grnd)    v. ground, (ground) grind·ing, grinds    v. tr. To crush, pulverize, or reduce to powder by friction, especially by rubbing between two hard surfaces: grind wheat into flour. To shape, sharpen, or refine with friction: grind a lens.

fest   (fst)   n. A gathering or occasion characterized by a specified activity. Often used in combination: a music fest; a chilifest.
