the movie was ok..
doesn't hold a candle to the old one.
the songs sort of suck.

also, I sort of feel like I was molested by MJ after seeing it.

aaron has the DVD of the original and he tried showing it to me one night and i fell asleep, so i guess i have to see the original

I won't see it, I think it looks awful judging by the commercials, though I know judging by commercials is a terrible way to pick movies. I still think it looks retarded.

I liked seeing some of the added story elements of wonka's past and what not but I thought the songs sucked too. In the old one, the songs were so non-PC it was great, the new ones weren't as mean and they were all different shitty genres (disco, crappy metal/rock, etc.) I've been obsessed with the first one my whole life so I'd have to say the original is way better.

i thought it was going to be really fucked up like the old one, when they went into the tunnel....but it was a dissapointment

yea the songs were irritating to say the least. Danny Elfman hasn't composed anything this bad since his Oingo Boingo days.

the classic elfman music is good.
the songs with vocals suck.

the "hints" of his past sucked ass.
it was totally lame when he would just stare into the camera crying or whatever.

it was ok. it was relatively amusing due to the fact we were baked when we saw it, but i bet if we were not stoned, it would have been boring as hell.
