New site? Maybe some day.

i like the ones of the statues that look like silouettes against the sky (4th and 5th from the top) they have a doom-ish feel to them. good job! |
thanks. That's sort of what I was going for and a few of the other pics resulted from that approach, but without the magnificent effect. |
cool pics, looks like a fun way to kill an afternoon |
if this was 1998, every metalcore band on earth would be dying to use your pictures for their demo cover. |
the cross pic is badass, keep it up duder |
bump for anyone who didn't see this. |
the clouds in the background on the second angel pic and the cross pic add a really nice effect. SHRED! |
the pictures arent bad, the composition is a lil boring, almost everything is centered, and you can see your shadow in some |

Okay, thanks for that. I'm looking for criticism I can use. |

well then... maybe I can reply (im actually going from memory cause I'm on my phone and don't feel like opening them on my phone).
so, they are all pretty decent shots. subject matter I can comment nothing on. that's your own choice.
my ideas (from memory)
on the shots that you used a flash, you got a wicked glare on two of them which I down like. I would have cranked the flash down and just use a longer shutter speed. possibly using the flash on a rear-curtian to bring out details. on another, you used the flash as a fill flash, but may have warmed the image a little. with a fill flash, turn the flash power down to almost its lowest level and then test it stepping back up to 0 stops.
on the cross one, open it up in photoshop. adjust the contrast so that the details in the face of the cross go away. this can also be done with the levels adjustment if you move middle gray to the right. this image could also be de-saturated.
also, I think that all of them could use a tiny USM. maybe you could run a 15%/25px batch on it. just watch for helos. |
