I think its pretty much evident that those who do not bother to think things through are the ones multiplying like rabbits, spreading like a disease, and exhausting the earth's resources. The only problem with a meritocracy would be that it requires a massive standardized educational system with equal in class time and funding spent on every student if you really wanted to insure that you were accurately placing the most intelligent people in power. Putting such a system in place would require a massive socialist state that would never allow a meritocracy to happen.

i think this is stuipd because there's always gonna be greed and stupid people. so the leaders will become greedy(if you think you can stop that you're retarded) and there will always be a larger amount of people in the lower class, that will get pissed off and rebel at some point. and since most of the people would be in the lower class wouldn't that make them standard? Since the class system is based on brains. The only way i see this working is if you suppress a huge part of the population. or mass breed them suppressed and engineer them to like how life sucks(brave new world)

i wouldn't mind changing the society we all live in, but not to something retarded. Maybe some system that creates a huge middle class with small poor/rich classes.
