just go to the town and find out. Each town varies by zoning laws and such. You won't know what step to take next till you talk to the town office of the town you are loking to do it. I've done one and it was actually pretty simple.
yeah, in Wayland for instance you just have to let the nieghbors know. When I did the Human BBQ I and II, we just had to contact the police to let them know, and then let each neighbor in the area know when and where it was going to be. But it's probably different for each town.

In whitman Ma, as long as it's between 11 am and 8:30 it's fine.
I would still let the neighbors know just so you don't come off as an asshole.

alright...the location of the place i have in mind is surrounded by woods and the closest houses probably wouldn't hear anything to begin with...this isn't really a definite thing i'm just trying to get all the information with time to spare, so i can see if it will work or not
