i got the call like 20 minutes ago. all shows are cancelled from here on in at the lily pad.

a bulletin just posted from the lily pad myspace:

the lily pad - boston's beloved forum for original, creative music - has been forced to cancel all shows until further notice. due to noise complaints, the cambridge licensing board is obligated to follow the letter of the law in serving the lily pad with a 'cease and desist' order. the lily pad needs YOUR help urgently to survive. we need to show the city that the lily pad is a vital cultural center that serves a valuable function by providing a forum for creative musical expression. by showing our overwhelming support we can help overturn the order.

what you can do to help RIGHT NOW:

1. write a letter of support for the lily pad, stating that the venue is a vital asset that is necessary to the community, and that it does no harm. letters can be sent by mail to the following address:

yeah, thats the problem. a lot of people were going to go. a lot of people are porbably still going to go just to find out it was cancelled.

Wow that sucks, sorry to hear it. You guys should come down to Rox's for Suicide Dream/Sacreligion and get drunk with us until scene legalisms and politics become a blurry memory.

Our set will be an equal serving of both thrash and doom.

i wish this had happened a couple days earlier i probably could've combined the two into one massive gathering

There's a possible additional band on the show in Allston tonight. There's no way to fit even one more band.

i tried to work out the times for this show...with 25 minute sets for everyone and 10 minute changeups it could feasibly work...i was able to put 9 sets in there
