Suffocation wins 2006 for death metal. Nobody does it better than the band who spearheaded brutal death metal to begin with.

i already pre-ordered mine so I dont feel guilty about downloading it, but everyone should buy this when it comes out

one song however is not very good

this album is SICK, I will be buying my copy the day it comes out, I couldn't wait to hear it, so I nabbed it.

the breakdown at the end of that song is the meanest, nastiest thing I have heard in a long time

the breakdowns on this cd are SOOO fucking good
which is awesome because Souls lacked in the breakdown department

i think overall this is a better album than Souls, though...the production is better yet rawer and the song structures and riffs are better

I think it's on par with Souls To Deny. I wasn't too impressed after all the hooplah about this album. I shall listen to it some more though to see if it sinks in. BTK is nasty though.

I like it better than anything else since Effigy of the Forgotten, but I don't think it's the best death metal record this year.

it's not better than Pierced From Within.

This sounds like much more of a sequel to Despise the Sun than Souls to Deny was. It's like DtS with waaay better production and a better rhythm section.

Suffocation were, are and always will be the true gods of this genre. They have mastered the art of brutal music and they can't be topped. Bold statement but true. If I had the money I would just pay for these fucking guys to write and record new stuff all the time!!!
