Belgian melodic/gore-grind mad scientists ABORTED have returned with a new slab of sheer brutality that is destined to take their special brand of aural violence to the next level. Their highly anticipated new offering, Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture, is set for a Feb. 20th 2007 release. Recorded at Denmark’s Antfarm Studios with producer/engineer Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted), and including guest vocal performances by Jeff Walker (ex-Carcass) and Jacob Bredahl (Hatesphere), the album features sickeningly infectious guitar hooks, inhuman drumming, overwhelming intensity and crushing hooks. Their previous platter, The Archaic Abattoir, solidified the band as one of the brightest new stars in the extreme metal genre, and their new album cements their status as one of the scene’s most innovative and exciting artists.
Founding vocalists Sven De Caluwe checks in with the following report: “Well, we just finished everything for the new aborted album, Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture, with the great at Antfarm Studios. Expect an album which more or less condenses what we’ve been doing over the last three albums, with some fresh elements added in. It's definitely a lot more extreme, with more solo mayhem than The Archaic Abattoir, while still retaining the groove and melodies we have been building on. We promise that you will not be disappointed.”
ABORTED caught the attention of the entire scene on their first highly successful U.S. tour with Suffocation and labelmates Cryptopsy and Despised Icon last fall. The band plan on aggressively touring the U.S. next year to keep their momentum going strong in support of the new album. |

Rich, book Aborted now!!!! |
I know Aborted is gonna end up at friggin Mark's. Someone book this at The Middle East Upstairs. |
Seriously. NH is terrible and I'd like not to have to go there again. |
They'll end up there because not enough people go to metal tours at the ME. |
If I remember correctly, even the Leng Tche/Impaled/Aborted show at the ME didn't do great in terms of attendance. |
Don't remind me about that show. |
What if I buy 200 tickets? |
pam said: Don't remind me about that show. |
Why? |
Because I missed it and it was terrible. |
Well, If Rich books Aborted you won't miss them this time. |
We'll have to see what the tour package is, what the guarantees are, and all that. With the lackluster attendance of big metal shows at the ME though, I doubt I'll be booking it. |
i hope they keep the heavy riffs up like from TAA
Hecatomb has probably one of the heaviest riffs i've ever heard |
Impaled, Aborted, Malignancy, Leng T'che did awesome.
If Aborted contacts me again I will book the gig. I know some other killer bands who would probably make the trek here to play the show with them too. |
You suck, and I will have you murdered. Only I can make fun of Rich. |
Alright!, Internet death threat #2. It's been a good month. |

Well it's working. |
He's also dodging me because he owes me money. He learned this tactic from all the niggers on all the TV he watches now that he's married. |
I'd like to see ABORTED again, The show at the Middle East was awesome, LENG TCH'E was the best of the night I thought |
